Yes Indeed - Sachin Faced Stronger Bowling attacks and had to Work Harder, since he had to cope up with an Indian Team which was Not So much Capable of playing well in Demanding conditions and Indian Crowd and Media also expected Sachin to Always Score Heavily and Guide India to a Victory - The Moment Sachin got out, The Match was more or less over. It was so very Emotional as well as Psychological for us in those days.

Virat Kohli and his Boys just don't seem to have the same Hangover or any sort of Deprivation - They just Go, Play, Perform Mechanically like Machines and get the Job done with very Little Fuss or Complaints and The Wins are easily Forgotten - We don't seem to Remember any of India's Previous Matches of late and The Highlights are also seldom shown repeatedly by Star Sports - So there is No Scope for Nostalgia as well. Hence we have No Emotions, nor Memories of the New look Indian team.

Since I too come from Sachin Tendulkar's Era - I will Obviously Support him.

For The Younger Generation & Youngsters - They Love Virat Kohli & Co - And why Not - Everytime Virat Kohli gets a Good score and he hardly Loses Momentum, R Ashwin & R Jadeja also Regularly Pick Wickets in India and we are Assured of Victory on Tailor made Home conditions.

I guess after Virat Kohli Finishes his career in another 12 years, we can sit, analyze and compare. But then there will be another New Look Indian Team with New Superstars - It just Continues like that.

BACCHA - - - KID - - -

Its , wrong to compare these two players as of now - -

Sachin consistently played for 25 years for Team India & Kohli may be just 7-8 years .

No doubt Viraat is excellent batsman but

he is still 'BACCHA ' in front of

G0D of cricket - -

Let him first play consistently for Team
India for at least 20-25 years than we can compare both , not before that .

I would like to state that Sunil Gavaskar was & is better than either of the Players mentioned. Why?
1. Sunny faced more Feared bowlers from WI / England / Australia / Pakistan
2. No restriction on Bowlers in Sunnys Time for Bouncers
3. Sunny scored more Centuries outside India and against mentioned Teams
4. Sunny was the Main Stay of India for over a Decade (In short only one scoring)
5. Technically was superior to anyone mentioned, Never made the same mistake twice

Players are from different eras, comparison not fair and each one has / had his strength and weakness. How about enjoying the Individual talent as is and appreciate what he is doing for Indian Cricket and Fans.

more importantly, he faced the demonish fast bowlers without a helmet, armguards hipguards etc for a better part of his career. It was sheer technique.

Gavaskar was a great batsman. But was he equally great in ODI ? NO...

secondly Gavaskar never played great spinners like Warne n Murli. Also Sachin played more genuine fast bowlers for 2 decades which to some extent only Lara, Dravid and ponting played. So Sachin was better than Gavaskar n Dravid comes after Gavaskar.

Had kohli played against bowlers whom Sachin n Gavaskar played, by now he would have been dropped from team :)

Gavaskar played all time great fast bowlers like Lillie,Hadlee,Bob Willis,Imran Khan and off course the greatest fast bowling battery of alltime comprising of Andy Roberts,Colin Croft,Joel Garner,Michael Holding and perhaps the greatest of them all Malcolm Marshall. Without helmet or any protective headgear without one bouncer per over rule and uncovered pitches he opened where the pitch and bowlers are lively . He tamed them all. As for spinners Gavaskar played Abdul Qadir and Derek Underwood Sir Lance Gibbs who can claim to be an all time great. When it comes to test matches he is not only Indias greatest batsman but the greatest opening batsman of any era . Tendulkar was more attacking but overall Gavaskar is a yard ahead of Tendulkar as a test batsman

1. Was Sunil Gavaskar having equally admirable records in both Tests and ODIs?

2. Did he play with the kind of expectations Sachin played with?

3. Had he got the same consistency levels as Sachin?

No doubt Sunil Gavaskar was a legend. And no one played fast ballers better than him, not even Sachin. But overall Sachin is a greater player.
