Bad situation for Australia
by Jayaprakash Balan on Feb 17, 2017 12:45 PM  | Hide replies

There is so much negative comments for Australia and only strong positive remarks for India that Australia would have already got demoralised badly and if that becomes true, it would also not be a good sign for Test Match as it would just be one sided and boring to watch. Fans need to get to see the fighting spirit of Australians also to come back in the game and give some suspense to the match rather than meek surrendering. But Indians as usual are not interesting to see a good match or wins but to see Indians maul the opposition very badly. Australians should have seriously trained two class spinners to keep them alive in the test matches.

Dont worry. Australians are immensely more competitive than the Englishmen.

Regardless of the eventual results in the test series, the Australians are just not going to allow the Indians to run over them as the Englishmen did !

Horrible reporting

I am finding too many reports on media on how good the Indian team is and how they will crush aussies. We should have defeated AUS in world and had to be world champions at least 3 times at a stretch to make these comments. The present reporting shows over-confidence and arrogance

Such reports are designed to attract readership !

The writers know that middle class Indians (who make the vast majority of those who read these reports) are starved of sporting heroes.

After January, 2015,

(when India lost 2-0 in Australia), India has not played a test series in any of the 4 countries that are difficult to beat at home, viz, Aus, Eng, SA and Pak.

So, in the last 2 years, India has only been playing either at home or in SL, Bang and WI, all of which are weaklings now.

The extent of hype in the Indian media about the alleged invincibility of this Indian team is hardly justified !

Prediction in Sports

A game is unpredictable; even if it is played against the mighty by minnows (just see the example of India winning 1983 Cricket WC) There was no comparison in any department between the 1983 West Indies World Cup cricket team and the Team India (that won the WC) Yet, the result proved to be an upset. So, here also, its all hype. Let the teams play and lets hope for a positive result for Team India. That would be wise; rest all is hype and wastage of time only.
