IND.DESERVES MORE REASONABLE REVENUE SHARE BUT NO BULLYING
by damodaran mohan on Feb 17, 2017 05:45 PM  | Hide replies

Why blame other country Boards when the problem has been created by none other than our very own former BCCI President representing ICC in the first place !Why was he not recalled immediately from ICC ? So it is more of a self-inflicted wound by a bunch of faction ridden former BCCI power drunk members lacking the requisite qualities to occupy the position as exposed by the Lodha Panel. Ravi Shastri’s bullying tone and tactics approach will only further worsen things. World has changed and a more democratic order among the cricketing nations is but inevitable and no one or two countries howsoever powerful can expect to dominate. Thus first BCCI must agree for a more democratic set up for running the affairs of ICC rather than wanting to dominate or rule by big three etc. although wanting to be part of important decision making bodies is legitimate considering our strength.Once things are put in this proper perspective then BCCI will be in a much better wicket to convince other member countries for their fair share of revenue in proportion to respective contribution while readily willing to forego reasonable revenues for development of cricket in weaker and emerging cricketing world. Unfortunately our former BCCI members instead of adopting a more reconciliatory line were seen to be haughty and arrogant wanting to roughshod their way and Shastri is seen to be encouraging that line. For a change Mr Limaye as BCCI rep. carried himself well in the ICC meeting.

(contd.)Such mature and fruitful interaction in future ICC meets certainly raises hope that India should be in a position to get its more reasonable share of revenue with minimum loss that should be enough for helping the cause of weaker and emerging cricketing nations.

Shastri talks in uncivilized manner
by shashi on Feb 17, 2017 04:16 PM

He has zero talent as per Kapil Dev. But one thing is he always conducts himself in savage manner which does not suit a former Indian Cricketer

Yes.The terrorist pakis, the rogue Bangla and dictator run Zimbabwe need to be put in place.India being a nation mostly governed by law but for some difficulties due to corrupt politicians ,will soon be more organised.Hence we need to assert ourselves as a major contributing nation and we shall set the law of engagement and money distribution.
Otherwise we will make ICC a toothless organisation and choke the fund flow from.india so that we are heard.Politeness does not mean weakness and Indians are not pakis

Thats Spirit Mr Ravi
by avinash kale on Feb 17, 2017 08:17 AM

It takes lot of courage and belief to speak the way Mr. Ravi Shastri has expressed himself, not shying away when the time is difficult. The act must be lauded. The spirit, love and dedication he is showing for cricket India is appreciable.
But one more thing Mr. Shastri, people like you shall put your efforts to look into the causes, the BCCI is in today and take-up the task of cleaning it thoroughly.
Nobody respect a divided house, how much correct you may be.
Once again appreciate your love and dedication to cricket India.

Well said Ravi ,
Bangladesh and Zimbabwe should now be throttled, and then take it up with ICC after the whole mess sorts out.
