Time has come to induct Cricket as an entertainment show under IB Ministry, in lieu of a sport/Game under sports Ministry. Govt. would get entertainment tax for each show, even on school / college level also.

In the long run cricket will lose its sheen because of its excessiveness. Those who want to watch let them watch and those who doesn't want to let them not do so. But the view of electronic centre is very correct. Tax these game heavily and get income from it. Use it for development purpose or for social causes, only for the poor people. Or best let the tax money go to armed forces fund.
It is sheer waste of people's time . People who have nothing good to invest their time in waste time watching these useless matches .It's better to do some social work if you have so much time and money to waste . Lot of poor children need care and attention than watching these obscene show of money.

So by that logic all entertainment and social/religious functions should be stopped and money thus saved should be given to charity
