You guys compare Rohit-Dhawan at par with Sachin-Saurav?? This two flat track players (R & D) fail to put bat to ball whenever the ball does something. Shame on your cricketing knowledge

kohli should stop his holiday
by bhaskar on Dec 11, 2017 04:16 PM

and report to BCCI of his availability. His personal relations and affairs are causing too much harm to indian team. Kohli should understand that playing for the country is his first duty ..

ABSOLUTELY NO NEED TO WORRY
by Shilpa Mehta on Dec 11, 2017 01:11 PM  | Hide replies

It happens sometimes . Even minnows team

beat strong teams once in few years .

Otherwise , weak team like Lanka cannot beat Team India .
No team in the world can win 100 percent matches they play .

But one main thing - - -

Just look at MSD , even in this humiliating defeat MSD's individual performance is excellent .
Had he not scored 65 yesterday , India
could be bowled out within 50 .

No batsman in the world can score in each & every innings he plays , but what matters is success rate , at least 7-8 times out of Ten .

weak team Lanka? and India strong? the team which cannot perform on bouncy pitch cannot be called a good team. the new crop of indian batsmen needs to learn from batting from mr cool DHONI...at present he is the only complete player in the team....

Such drubbing in the face of WC in English conditions impending, will be good, if going by the capabilities of Indian batsmen. By batsmen I mean, our bowlers will relish the overseas conditions and as such they will perform BUT, our batsmen......Heroes as they are....chane jhaad mein chadha diye jaate hein. They need lights, camera and action to make them perform.

Little bit of extra bounce or some swing movement in the air... are just enough to shatter so called strong Indian batting! We have seen this happening yesterday, also on first morning at Calcutta recently and in Champions Cup Final in last June. India will have a touch time facing Steyn, Morkel, Phallander & Co. in SA. Virat Kohli has always been susceptible against quality swing bowling (Remember India's tour of ENG in 2014?)

The team members changed plus the pitch changed plus the weather changed. Too many things to adjust. And no doubt, for years together it has been proven that, India players are too 'rigid' to adapt.

The selectors are getting too hyper. Why make so many changes. IS it that, test cricket it played with a leather ball and suddenly one day is played with sponge ball and twenty20 with a tennis ball. They have changed the team as if it is a team for altogether a different game. When there a mass change, them, the team-spirit goes for a spin and suddenly the whole ideology and momentum gathered with and against the team changes. Again each individual has to find and set the frequency. It is but human to feel lost with so many new members in. Every new entrant, irrespective of experience, needs to be sandwiched between existing players. Players are not robots to set the frequency with one another and zoooom.

I fear, with no preparation time in SA, the Dharmashala syndrome may hold true in SA too. Moreover, they may also have watched our performance. As such, every foreign team (why, even BAngladesh) tries a new FAST bowler against Indians......and not surprisingly, such novices suceed too. And by the time, we come to terms with the conditions and opponents, the end of the series nears. And hence, some individual performances save us.

True...actually he is the sort of person who will quit himself if he knows he wont be able to contribute to the team...he is not the sort of person who will play for records...

There are eleven playing & we have equal number or more support staff! Most of the coaches were players who were dropped for non-performance!
How much cricket Arun & Bangar played for India???
