"Pollution-Resistant" Umpires
by Sweety on Dec 06, 2017 01:23 AM

Ok, let's agree that India is a polluted country and Indians are accustomed to it... And Srilanka is a very clean country and the players are not used to such levels of pollution...!! Then, what about the two field umpires who had to stand there all the day? Why they didn't go for a mask? England and W.Indies - are they both polluted like India?! I think the umpires, both are "pollution-resistant" unlike the Srilankans.

Just a drama
by Manohar Rao on Dec 03, 2017 10:05 PM

Sri Lankans are not playing cricket in the middle, they are playing drama in the middle of the cricket. What an acting, full marks to their acting. Through their superb acting they ensured that Kohli does not reach triple century and secondly they ensured that India declared early. if they were so effected by pollution, why they come out for batting?
I think Sri Lankans wants to replace Australians as the cry babies of cricket.
their behavior has been very unsporting, instead of stopping the game in the middle through their dramatics they should have let the game continued and filed their protest to match referee at the end of the game.
By coming back to field batting has exposed them. If they were so effected by pollution they should have stayed inside.

Stooping too low
by Manohar Rao on Dec 03, 2017 09:47 PM

Yes Sri Lanka has stooped too low to break the rhythm of Indian batsmen and in particular deny Kohli his first triple. Sri Lankan's both attack and defense are pathetic and not even club class. In the first match too they denied India a deserving win by incorporating delay tactics. In this match they are complaining about pollution. Agreed, the pollution is very high, did they not know this before visiting the venue? Now do not say that they were unaware, nowadays weather conditions are taken into account long before going into the match, even the strategies are formulated keeping in mind the weather conditions.
Sri Lankans are just cry babies and unsporting to deny Kohli his first triple by breaking his concentration and then forcing India to declare early to ensure that this time around they do not lose by an innings.
Weather conditions are same for both the players and if their fitness level is so low it is not the problem of Indian team.
Somebody mentioned Indian players are accustomed to pollution, if so why so many people in India are dying of pollution.By giving such statements you are insulting India and Indians. Nobody is untouched by the pollution, the spectators, the organizers, the players everybody are effected but that does not make a case for Sri Lankans to stop the play in the middle. If they were sportive enough they could have continued the and put their views or protests at the end of the game. Why they came out for batting, they should have remained inside?

Sri Lankan

I would have appreciated if they would have given up the match and conceded as lost test . The same players who fielded with masks came to the field for batting , this indicates how unsportsmanlike they are . Kohli exposed Sri Lankan’s intentions and proved himself very sportive .
