It hardly matters if he can surpass KAPIL DEV or not which I believe he won't considering his bowling poweress which is yet to be considered to be a great force to reckon with. But his batting and fielding capacity seems somewhat equivalent to than that of great KAPIL DEV although a lot of performances is expected from him to prove this statement correct.
The partisan Prasad shouldn't have picked up Ben stokes for comparison. Just look at the figures below- ODI records- H Pandya>> 19 wickets in 17 matches, 5.45 economy, Avg 34.74 B Stokes>> 15 wickets in 19 matches, 8.02 economy, Avg 25.93
T20 records- H Pandya>> 50 wickets in 59 matches, 6.16 economy, Avg 39.14 B Stokes>> 10 wickets in 21 matches, 9.04 economy, Avg 48.5
This shows Pandya has already surpassed Stokes in Bowling Department, Prasad should have picked up a better all-rounder for comparison!!!

PANDYA has proved that he can be little more than what ROBIN SINGH was for Indian Cricket

Certainly. Comparison can only start happening once PANDYA starts bowling those beautiful banana out swingers rather regularly. He seems a too short of length for a regular swing bowler
Elevating Pandya to the level of Kapil Dev who took India to the world map of cricket. Pandya has scored a century against the weakest of cricket team with their depleted bowling attack.
Kapil remained no. 1 bowler for India although he was great with bat also. Pandya cannot became bowler like Kapil. Irfan pathan was infact far better bowler and good batsman. Even it will be difficult for Pandya to match Irfan in bowling. Batting-wise he is far better than Irfan. I will rate Kapil the batsman also far good. He played in different era and demolished the attack many times. 90 again WI against full blooded pace attack in 1982 in west Indies. Man of the series in Englan although India lost that series 1-0. (same series where patil hit wilis for 6 4's in over and even English crowd was applauding and supporting him.

in full rythm Kapil would run through whole batting lineup alone. Famous win in australia all out for 84 needing 128 to win. He took 5 wickets even when not fully fit. As per me till date he is no. pace bowler of India, master of swing.

Irfan carrer was destroyed by Chappel by experimenting with him.

That's a sad story - IRPHAN PATHAN lost his swing under able guidance of Greg CHAPPLE. Again CHAPPLE was not a mean man he made DRAVID the captain of INDIAN Cricket Team which was otherwise an impossible promotion for Mr Dependable

Its not easy to fill Kapil's shoes. He was India's opening bowler and good in all formats all around the world. His batting too was superb and needless to talk about his excellent fielding skills.
In comparison, Pandya is a good bat with limited bowling skills. But he surely is streets better than a whole lot who have dawned the Indian jersey since Kapil's exit. Good luck Pandya
