What is his contribution
by sirisha k on Sep 28, 2016 03:49 PM

What is Patil contribution to Indian cricket? Just he was a flat pitch batsman. He was selected repeatedly because he belong to Maharashtra. At that time only cricketers belongs to Maharashtra, TN, Karnataka, Delhi were selected. Remaining states were just ignored. People thinking about present selection panel to first question their contribution to Indian cricket.

Mr Thakur,
Nothing wrong in it it is truth and after all BCCI is not a private trust , so next time you oppose do oppose wrong doings which happen around you .keep BCCI more open to public so that public will understand how much valuable time they are wasting on watching cricket ...and also all will come to know whether BCCI exists because of criket lovers or whether criket lovers exist because of BCCI

Nothing wrong telling facts
by Narendra Patil on Sep 28, 2016 07:41 AM  | Hide replies

Nothing wrong, everything should be in public. Facts arealways remai. Most of the people are reveal such things in their autobiography on later stage. It has revealed little early. Nothing wrong in it. It not a confidential type thing. Political persons posted on chief of BCCI may think in that way. Those are tactical persons who hold secrets unnecessarily and not disclose that facts. It is public which decides or think their own in democracy. So, Patil didnt went wrong. He is obedient to his soul.

However great a player may be, how the selectors can leave the decision of inclusion of Sachin in the team on himself ? What was the role of selectors ? Were they were selectors for all players except Sachin Tendulkar who was in later stage of cricket allowed to play inspite of poor performance which never happened in the case of other players.

Patil is chasing cheap publicity and had shown poor sense of professional accountability. Rightly pointed out by Anurag.

But Sandeep Patil also didnt do justice to his position. After all he was the Chairman of the selection body & it is not right on his part to say something about the inner workings during his days at the helm.
Just by chiding Sandeep , does Anurag become loud & arrogant

Maybe selectors should also talk about how ganguly behaved as captain? very easy to say nonsense, but confidentiality is important. People who don't understand that don't deserve to be in responsible positions.

Its true , its n't expected such senior person. he may be jealous but them ,BCCI shall take action. Also, ensure in future , all confidential issues shall not come out to public domine and let it be agreement for life time to all BCCI office bearers. Other wise BCCI will become laughing stock.

Why is Thakur speaking like a dictator? It is his political clout and nothing else that put him in chair of board president.Sandi has done the right thing to put these cricketers as normal mortals.

it is understood, one fine day all sports persons should go or take retirement. But , don't disrespect such individuals. let it not be used for this type cheap publicity. Its not understood , what patil will going to get disclosing such things, this will disheart and disrespect Patil. This is become habit in cricket, all ex players/captains/ officials do blame game for cheap publicity. Indian hockey is now failed because of such game .

What is unethical to say certain things that were felt as right by most of the country just because they are celebrities?

No, because when he was chairman he said something else. If this was the case, he should have said it in 2012 itself, why say something different now?
