There is no place for him from position 1 to 10 because, what he plays is Gilli DFand and not the Cricket. An awkward chill runs through my spine when he comes forward and pushes the ball like Gilli Dand.
It depends on the circumstances. Whether Dhoni is coming at No. 4 or No 6 is not important. He should not come at the end overs. If he remains at the crease during slog overs surely he will be wasting the deliveries & could not score even 8 runs in an over. Yes, if wicket falls early overs he can come at No. 4, that too he should score quickly or allow the other batsman to score by rotating the strike. Dhoni is playing only Kohli is at the crease, otherwise he is throwing the wicket away. That should not happen tomorrow.
I agree! Becasue at no 4 he has enough time and can then choose the time when he wants to hit big shots. That way will keep the opposition guessing. At lower order his game becomes one dimensional - he has to go for big hits. Another thing is be is perhaps the best attacking batsman in the team against spin bowling.
Dhoni is better at No. 5 giving opportunity either to Rahane or Manish pandey if regular opener Rahul comes.Once top order fails some body should be like Dhoni to take the control
