Obviously something is seriously wrong with BCCI which is an opaque secretive monolith with the richest coffers in the world. Where politicians and their sidekicks find highly lucrative opportunities to fill their own booty and shortchanging the millions of Indian fans who spend their hard earned money to watch matches in uncomfortable stands.

Maybe it is time for those millions of fans to get a little wiser and stop visiting stadiums to watch matches as well as to religiously switch channels whenever adverts come on TV !
If such a habit on the part of a very large segment of fans leads to the cessation of extreme commercialisation of the game, then that should be welcomed with glee !
