Every player in the team must be a good athlete & fielder in this era of competition . Earlier there use to be only 3-4 good fielders ( like Yuvraj , Kaif , Raina ) in the team & rest all were average ( Like Dada , Laxman , Sachin , Zaheer , Shrinath , Kumble )

by multi-specialist fielders they mean somebody who can field at different fielding positions equally well...that means if one is slip fielder it must not happen that he is good at only that place if he is required to field at the boundary line he should be good there too...it can happen that a fielder is good at slips but he does not have a good arm and not so good at throwing the ball to the bowlers or wicket keepers end from the boundary line...

it happens that sometimes players catch a difficult one and drop an easy catch...no need to laugh at that...

Agreed, but let us not say that catches win matches because it is ok to drop some even if you are specialist or multi specialist
