Why people are giving undue importance to ex Chief Justice Lodha. He has already reached the age of superannuation and be asked to take rest instead of giving position and monetary benefits after retirement. He is the same person who enjoy all holidays and long vacations during his career as judge and got wisdom only few days before his retirement to increase working hours of the courts. He is the same person who was very arrogant person with lots of ego and superior complex and the bar council of Bombay high court complain against his behaviour to the Chief Justice. The people who frame rules for retirement of public and private sector employees has absolutely no right to have position with perks after retirement. No doubt, he is directed by Supreme Court to look into the affairs of BCCI but he has absolute no right to freeze the payment. I think he has exceeded his brief and Anurag Thakur is right in challenging his decision which he is not authorised to take. Justice Lodha should very well remember that he is no more Chief Justice of Supreme Court .

Some people want corruption to continue by the Politico and a select few who are only interested in looting the Sports body's Money???
Is it that Mr Anurag Thakur is the face of a proxy war being fought with the SC-appointed Lodha Committee? Firstly, they agreed to implement the recommendations but did NOT do so by Sept 30. Further, they were told not to make appointments, they DID so in clear defiance. The funds being disbursed are beyond the agreed limit of Rs 60 Crs per State unit; it is clear that additional Rs 10 Cr is NOT an emergent issue but is being doled out to silence dissent. Do you need any more proof for contempt proceedings?

If so why the same court did not had guts to take action against a chief minister who blandly refused to obey the orders. Looks like now SC wants to indirectly rule this country.
BCCI was corrupt, ruled by corrupt netas with vested interests. There was no transparency, Dalmia, Pawar, and several others, regarded it as their personal enterprise.
Every action taken by BCCI is suspect. That is why SC has come into the picture. Today, when these corrupt officials react to the structures passed by the learned judge, they rebel. Nothing better is expected. Let the NZ matches be scarped.
I dont think BCCI's reputation will fall. It has fallen a long time ago.
This is a clear case of judicial overreach. SC and Lodha panel are interfering the affairs of BCCI. It is not clear what law BCCI has violated. It has its own MoA. How can SC and panel insist that BCCI adopt a MoA framed by it?
But alas! gullible peopel of this nation will blindly support SC without going into the merits of the case.

Supreme court wants executive power and control over two of the biggest businesses in India - Cricket and Medical Education. Hence, oversight committee for BCCI and MCI.
Out of thousand issues concerning India, Judiciary has picked two for executive control. The same judiciary is struggling to put their own house in order.
