Judicial overreach
by The Leader on Oct 04, 2016 12:11 PM  | Hide replies

This is a clear case of judicial overreach. SC and Lodha panel are interfering the affairs of BCCI. It is not clear what law BCCI has violated. It has its own MoA. How can SC and panel insist that BCCI adopt a MoA framed by it?

But alas! gullible peopel of this nation will blindly support SC without going into the merits of the case.

Supreme court wants executive power and control over two of the biggest businesses in India - Cricket and Medical Education. Hence, oversight committee for BCCI and MCI.

Out of thousand issues concerning India, Judiciary has picked two for executive control. The same judiciary is struggling to put their own house in order.

BCCI Accounts
by eknath baliga on Oct 04, 2016 12:05 PM  | Hide replies

Mr. Lodha lacks basic banking knowledge. The Banks can not sit on judgement as to which cheque to be passed and which payment from the bank account be not permitted. Either a statutory authority must freeze an account, if the authority has got the powers. Or the drawer of the cheque (BCCI here) stop payment of a cheque. Most importantly, whether a committee appointed for a specific purpose can decide on interfering in the bank accounts, freezing and deciding which payment to be made and which not? In this tug-of war, country is put to shame.

BCCI is wrong

BBCI is not above constitution or citizens of India and they should respect the verdict instead of blackmailing. To prove their point BCCI is ready to spoil the game and its spirit and then blame the SC for all their wrongs.

BCCI is right. SC and Lodha panel are interfering. BCCI has not violated any law. Action by SC and Lodha panel are arbitrary in nature and condemnable. Everything that SC does is not right. Let us not blindly believe Supreme Court. There is no transparency in appointment of judges. SC should clean itself first before attempting to poke its nose into other lawfully constituted bodies.

BCCI first said their bank accounts are frozen, now they make a U-turn.

BCCI is a bag of lies, good that SC has started showing serious interest in the matters of BCCI.

Lodha committee should not bow down to the blackmailing tactics BCCI. If Lodha committee spare the rod now then BCCI would become a spoilt child.
