Supreme Court
by sowelimedu rajan on Oct 04, 2016 10:47 PM

I am loosing respect for Supreme Court. Instead of dealing with law, they are interfering with administration, and even army too, which bullets they should use...? They should work more, sincere with out recoursing to long vacations etc.,

Time is up!

It is strange that SC-appointed committee had to clarify the position. It is BCCI which erred on first count of NOT submitting compliance report by Sept 30 deadline fixed long-time ago. Secondly, BCCI brazenly defied the directive of NOT making appointment / selection at AGM. Now Mr Anurag Thakur has been indulging in blatantly misguiding the public about ‘frozen’ bank-account whereas the directive only pertained to non-release prohibited non-emergent sanction of extra Rs 10 Cr ostensibly doled out to buy allegiance from State units. Mr Thakur, you may be smart, you may be backed by now powerful people …… pls do not take the public [and SC-panel] to be fools while trying to rake up the emotive issue of current NZL tour and IPL/Champions Trophy participation to save your own skin! Your mentor Srini tried it for long …. now, it is your time!

Thakur vs.Lodha
by Patric Tauro on Oct 04, 2016 09:04 PM  | Hide replies

This Thakur is an arrogant chap.he is behaving as if he is in the parliament and not as the President of the BCCI. He should be first kicked out of the BCCI and things will settle down.

Is Lodha a gentle man. He has submitted report and it is up to Sc to take action why he is still hanging around.

Obviously Lodha will hang around because he gets free publicity. What good did he do as the CJI of the Supreme Court to clean up the judicial system ?

But now when the BCCI holds its AGM, finalises its Selection Panel or elects its Secretary, Lodha immediately calls a meeting of his Committee and sends a 100 page report to the SC about the BCCI's violations of its orders... in 3 days flat !!

Granted that there are reforms required in the BCCI, but today Indian Cricket is on a very strong wicket because of the BCCI. Let's not make them the Villain for everything.

And let the Court find some time for mundane matters like clearing the backlog of crores of cases pending for ages together.

The Saga continues

Mr.Lodha, Thanks for the clarification. Your agility and lightning quick response to anything which the BCCI does is truly commendable. If only you had displayed similar agility during your tenure as the CJI of the Supreme Court to clean up the judicial system and clear the crores of pending cases...!!

Your over-obsession with the BCCI is very clear. What started as an investigation into a spot fixing/ betting scandal has snowballed into whatever you have deemed fit to decide about, however absurd some of those decisions may be.

Wow, how did you know that ? Infact, I was high on drugs as well, when I posted my comment.

Seriously, your comment just shows your immaturity. I stated some facts and if you have anything to say in response, do so. It's ridiculous to get personal.

Yes, there is cleanup required in the BCCI, but I repeat that Mr.Lodha is going overboard with his judicial activism. I believe that he sees it as the chance to stay in the limelight.
