Murali Vijay should be dropped & let Rahane should open with KL Rahul. Karun Nair should replace Vijay. Vijay is wasting the deliveries & scoring very slowly.
He should not have been included in the team at all in the first place. His dropping therefore is justified. K.L.Rahul should be persisted with as he is young.

See, KL Rahul played so many Test Matches both in India & outside. His performances are always excellent. Only in this Test he has failed. Otherwise his records are very good. Simple because of 1 match you cannot say that he is a failure. Since he is a youngster & got good future. He is a great asset to Indian cricket in all forms such as Test, One day & T20.Other veteran Murali also should be dropped.

Good question! India did not bat well in 2nd Innings of the 2nd Test match! The selectrs should have noted!!

Either Bumrah or Ashok Dinda, or Jaydev Unadkad should replace Ishant Sharma & Umesh Yadav. Umesh is not taking wickets. He should play all 5 matches against England. If he is not taking wickets he should not be included for next series. Even Varun Aaron is a fare better fast bowler.But now Ashok Dinda is very impressive.
