Virat is definitely talented, but only time can say he can surpass d other greats or not... Ppl are talking about everyone in d list apart from Ganguly.. This ignorance looks very purposeful now...

If you look at the batting positions they are 1-5 in tests & ODIs. Anyone batting lower is unlikely to feature in this list.
Kohli is exceptional talent no doubt... But its fun to go through Stats and find something incredible like Sehwag record. other guys played 40-50 matches to reach that stage and .. Viru managed all those run, playing attacking high risk cricket in 10 less matches then More gifted batsman.

Please donot make such comparisons. Really speaking, If Sehwag played, then the others had a lesser role. It was if Sehwag failed, then the others played.
But, all were Great Players of Indian Cricket.
Now about Kohli. I sincerely wish he surpasses all the Records. He and may be one or two others are capable of doing it. It will also be necessary that, these others should also perform. Otherwise, it will be like the past years when only Gavaskar and Vishwanath used to play.

Sehwag wasa special talent- attacking, natural stroke player, solid on the front foot or even playing from the crease and courageous and risk taker. rhythm in his batting was like a musical composition, a ballad like experience. Pure adrenalin. Pure joy. I feel he gave more joy to the spectators around the world than his famed contemporaries any day. Too bad politics in Indian sports denied him his deserved due recognition and accolades driven as we are by regionalism and favoritism and nepotism.
