Three Aussies , two heroes and one villain played the key roles in the Final. It was tragic sight and simply unbelievable Virat could lose the cup after taking the side to the final from brink of elimination to prove his captaincy abilities. It is going to hurt him for long for sure. However fact remains he is still learning the tricks of captaincy and will take some time to become perfect. One area where he needs to learn is to exhibit less of emotions to the extent of affecting his decision making. He has to learn to be more discreet and calculating not open all his cards readily. He also needs to be a bit more flexible with making moves to unexpected developments during overs and not stick to a rigid plan to be predictable with batting order or bowling plan. Although it would not be proper to look wiser after the event most important is constant review of match situation and take time mulling options and not hurry with next move as in a chess game. Virat does look to be taking decision in hurry w/o considering options. Moreover it looks after Warner and Yuvi both got out he became a bit complacent as SRH were expected to close under 180 and virtually was the turning point of the match the way over 50 runs were given in the last 3 overs. In a T20 match one just can’t afford to relax.
