Result may or may not have changed, but with spinner in place of one pace bowler would have meant a more potent bowling attack on that wicket! Hope, they don't make such blunders specially against India.
So now whole of India, Pakistan and above all the TRP hungry TV media in the two countries are waiting for the next Ind-Pak match or war or battle or whatever! The way TV channels of the two countries have been hyping the encounter 24x7 for a week almost it doesn't remain just a game of cricket. Although Pakistan lost but I thought it was one of the best Pak batting seen recently the way the batters applied themselves under difficult conditions. If they had batted in their usual style they would have been bundled out for 80 runs , no more. I was expecting Shaid Afridi to run through the Indian batting on the turning track but he was wayward not bowling in the right areas. Any way in spite of individual talents Pakistan cricket has a long way to go and organize themselves more professionally to produce Imran Khans and Wasim Akrams yet again. In contrast India has been producing very good cricketers even after Gavaskar, Tendulkar era and more importantly the like of “Team India” Pakistan is failing to produce a united team in spite of individual talents. It is surprising that Pak thinks ‘only’ Virat is the difference between the two sides! May be if Virat had got out the story might have been different but Pak must accept that India is a better side overall with a better leader. So what next for India ? Although India won but the ‘batting’ plan certainly needs a revisit if India is to go all the way to win the cup crossing three

(CONTD.)..crossing three ko hurdles---Aus, semis & final.
This current team reminds me of our team way back in the 90's where we were only relied on Sachin Tendulkar or Ganguly to score big runs.
We are relying only on Virat Kohli & happy to hide our weaknesses as long as we are winning.
But this attitude is going to hurt us dearly in long run.
In the match against Pakistan though we have won, it was in no way convincing win & had Kohli got out earlier the result of the match would have been in Pakistan's favour.
Dhoni's captaincy was extremely poor in the last game.
When Ashwin, Jadeja & Raina were getting so much purchase & turn from the pitch & were virtually unplayable, why did he gave bowling to Hardik Pandya on the square turner pitch ?
Why he didn't give any over to Yuvraj if he had selected him in the team & when he has this nack of picking wicket on spinning pitch ?
And above all, why he & Shastri both failed so miserably to read the pitch & to select Harbhajan Singh instead of Nehra ?
If Dhoni has decided that he is not going to select Harbhajan in playing 11 in any circumstances, then why Harbhajan is selected in the squad ?
To warm the benches?
India gave away 20-25 runs extra in Pakistan match due to bad bowling changes & captaincy of Dhoni.
These extra 20-25 runs could have certainly been the difference between winning & losing for India, had Virat Kohli not played that Superb & match winning innings.
Congratulations team India !! But I don’t understand why Dhoni is not given ball to Yuvi? And ashwin not even completed his overs in that turning pitch.?? Is that team India worried about most inconsistent players like Dhawan and Rohit Sharma..?
The victory has meant that many of Dhoni's questionable decisions will not be scrutinised the way they would normally have been. Seems it doesn't matter anymore that on a square turner he gave the batsmen a free run with two overs from Hardik Pandya when after a really good 4-over spell in the last match, Raina bowled 1 for just four runs. He also didn't let Ashwin bowl his full spell and Yuvraj was not brought on even when there were two right handers batting.
