The Real Reason why Shahid Afridi is being sacked is because he told openly to the media that Indians had loved him far more than his own Countrymen back home - The Pakistanis - So they were distraught & frustrated with that very declaration.
What followed was India beating Pakistan - After Imran Khan made his feelings openly expressed in Kolkata by saying - "I wish the Result would be in favour of Pakistan exactly the same way how the game went in Pakistan's favour they played last time in Kolkata" - Some people actually booed Imran Khan at The Eden gardens.
Also Shahid Afridi is no longer the same player whom we had seen in his early years. Quite natural that he has also aged and definitely his body will feel the pain.
But his Anti Pakistan rant was unnecessary and he should have just kept quiet and said we had a very good welcome and hospitality is good. He just went too far ahead, Bad decision.
It seems everybody who matters in Pakistan cricket are giving immature statements. Authorities should have waited the tournament to finish before giving such an amateurish statements. Why Akmal need to approach for his batting position. We in India are lucky. That's why these results.
Shouldn't the PCB chairman waited at least till the end of the World Cup to announce the sacking of Pakistan captain publicly ?
On one hand he demoralized Afridi by openly announcing his sacking as a captain & indirectly forcing him to retire as a player as well & on the other hand he is asking everyone to support him.
Now is he going to feel relaxed & confident after hearing his open sacking like that ?

Pakistan team lose their 50% matches due to these internal disputes, groupism & foolish team management who take impulsive decisions without concerning their outcome......

Pakistan is the only idiotic nation which can announce such a decision in the middle of a premier tournament. It would only help in further demoralizing the team further.

This is too hate speech. Everyone loves own country, as we do. Plz don't blame Pakistan for PCB's decision. If we dislike Pakistan, we should stop playing with them, but insultation and humiliation is not acceptable. Pakistanis too deserve respect as we do from any other country even after having issues like corruption. Show respect to earn love

He actually did that in 2011 by saying that the hearts of Indians are not as big as muzzies (or Pakis, dont remember)
Its very poor & crass adminsteration to announce sacking of the captain in the middle of a tournament which ONLY PCB would do. Whoever takes over from Afridi will not work miracles for Pakistan team & will meet the same fate as Afridi. No one should take up Pakistan team captaincy & coaching job. Pakistan has some very good opening bowlers & natural batsmen but their temperament lets them down & lack of sufficient series with other countries.

the bottom line is Dawood/Miandad betting syndicate suffered a loss of crores of rupees with this result. so some heads has to roll, Afridi and Waqar were selected as the lambs for slaughter.
It will affect team morale in the midst of tournament. Extremely bad administration of PCB. It shows that problem is not with players but PCB that can not uphold its player when they need them the most.
Afridi, Mr. Mirza, and that 7feet lanky dont deserve a place in team. These pak selectors do lots of showoffs when it comes to playing with India. These 3 are just show pieces.. so its time to replace )
