Pathetic reporting done by any one... If somebody, anybody charged for singing National Anthem, he must be a fool. If any one, any organisation offered somebody, anybody for singing National Anthem, it is foolishness. Anyone, media buzzing with rumours (without basis) on suspected payments for singing national anthem, it is crazy. Sourav Ganguly singing paeans about Amitabh paying for his airfare, hotel, local conveyance, it is a joke Overall this episode is shameful to be even discussed. Celebrity and hero/heroine worshipping by the masses should stop, only then unjustified and illegal enrichment can be stopped.

Also pathetic to see Ganguly confirming offering some money; may not be for singing! Ganguly, I would have been grateful if you could offer some seats to poor who cannot afofrd, rather than begging AB to take money!
Did he book hotel for an entire year? These so called big-hearted celebrities will keep praising each other mutually to get respect from us dumb masses.

It is ridiculous on part of Saurav Gaguli to say, Amitabh Bacchan didn't charge anything for singing national anthem. It would have been extremely shameful if any person be it Mr. Bacchan or anyone ask money for such national activity. Our cricketers only see, eat and sleep on money. We should be grateful to cricketers of Kapil / Gaveskar era when money had hardly any role to play.

I want to ask, why celebrities should be invited to sing National Anthem, is it not for all??? That reminds me of a chief guest who called up a poor helper to cut the ribbon of a new factory on behalf of him!
