During the time of Tendulkar, Azhar, Jadeja, Sidhu, Kambli, Ganguly and Dravid India was considered as one of the best team to play spin. However the new breed of players like kohli, rohit, raina and dhavan are more comfortable against pace and bounce than dead spin turn. It is different era and players. However Indias run rate is a problem and if they try to play too attacking shots against Pakistan to put up their run rate, they will do opposite and may end up scoring even low and one loss here against Pakistan and India will be out of T20 world cup. India should not have taken backward new Zealand lightly after their defeat to south Africa. This time India is on back foot and Kolkata is hunting ground for Pakistan and first time Pakistan is on brink of opening their win quote in world cup encounter. Under these conditions India lacks the teeth in bowling as well as batting against quality spin and pace under indian track. We saw how they lost against south Africa and new zealand

I think you have forgot the knockout match of 1996 world cup where India got beaten comprehensively by Sri-Lanka at the same Eden Garden due to Sri-Lanka's spinners. All players that you have mentioned had played in that game except Ganguly & Dravid.
In fact India never used to chase down the target during those days.
If opposition score a little more runs than at par score, India used to surrender from the start.
The situation now is far more better than during the time of Azhar. We were pathetic chasers during those times.
Ganguly was the first to develop this attitude of winning & fearless cricket. And since then our chasing record has improved a lot.
In the last game though, Indian side reminded us the side of 90's with no aggression, no instinct, no hunger, no mental toughness to win.
in aus wc 2015, we lost all matches initially and started winning in wc matches. now reverse is true, we won all matches prior to wc and now encountering loss(es)? victory masks our weakness, losses exposes weakness.
