Hopeless Team MSD

with a poor run rate of (-)2.35 India are virtually out of the completion. Even if we win next three matches semi final birth is not sure. This reminds me of 2012 WT20 where India were eliminated even after losing just one match against Australia. I don't know why selectors have picked up out of form players like Yuvraj,Raina,Shikhar etc. and why did they drop Manish Pandey after scoring match winning century is still a mystery. I will be surprised if India reaches semi final this time..

With a poor run rate of (-)2.35 even if we win next three games we have to depend on others to qualify for semis. This was bound to happen with 4 non performers Shikhar, Raina,Yuvi and Jadeja. If selectors showed some courage to pick players like Manish Pandey we could have save our face. Indian fans like me should be ready for another heart-break

Indian team thought they are going to face tennis ball in spin?Their wrong shot selection and over confidence that if I fail others will do made them in.Being favorite for the title they must not take other teams lightly instead learn from Gyle as how to hit the ball at will for a 4 or 6,Simple

Indian batting is highly over-rated & Ashwin has long way to
by Hindustani on Mar 17, 2016 11:54 AM  | Hide replies

Is SHIKHAR DHAWAN playing in the team for a mere show-off ?
What is his contribution with the bat ?

ROHIT SHARMA bats once in fortnight & that too when INDIA IS BATTING FIRST & when pitch is FLAT. He invariably throws his wicket while chasing a target.

SURESH RAINA is a flat pitch bully & becomes a dead fish on fast & spinning tracks with uneven bounce.
YUVRAJ SINGH has already past his prime. He no longer look even the 1/3 of the player he once used to be during his peak. He miss the simple scoring opportunities even full tosses.

RAVINDRA JADEJA is only a good fielder, An average bowler & a terrible batsman. I feel pity on the intelligence of those who call Jadeja an all-rounder. He has not been scoring with the bat for a significantly long duration.

HARDIK PANDYA is a good fielder, an average bowler & one dimensional average batsman. His technique is horrible & he won't survive against good bowling.

DHONI ALWAYS BLAME OTHERS. Sometimes it's PITCH,
Sometimes it's CONDITIONS, Sometimes it's BOWLERS,
Sometimes it's BATSMEN. When conditions are favourable he promotes himself up to FINISH THE GAME but when conditions are supportive to BOWLERS, HE NEVER TAKE THE ONUS TO FINISH THE GAME.

In yesterday's match, pitch was supporting the

spinners BUT ASHWIN, JADEJA BOWLED VERY

DEFENSIVELY ON THE PADS OF THE KIWI BATSMEN. THIS

WAS AN EXTREMELY NEGATIVE MINDSET FROM THE START.

THEY WERE AFRAID TO ATTACK THEM. JADEJA BOWLED 5

WIDE BOWL

Nehra leaked too many runs in death overs that proved very costly for us in the end.

Some people call Ashwin as the best spinner. But he was the most expensive of all spinners. Even Raina bowled better than him on Spinners paradise. Ashwin has a long way to go to call himself best if he can't take more wickets on spinner friendly tracks.

RELAX . NO NEED TO WORRY
by Shilpa Mehta on Mar 17, 2016 11:17 AM  | Hide replies

NZ/ SA / AUS / END are traditionally weak against spin .

Indian batsman are best players of spin . It happens sometimes that they threw their wickets due to improper shot selection , that does not mean they are susceptible against spin .

They lost to NZ because of Batsman's fault rather than bowlers skill .

Team India surely bounce back strongly .

it is always the bowlers skill which makes the batsmen to take faulty shots.

RAVI SHASTRI
by Hindustani on Mar 17, 2016 10:17 AM  | Hide replies

had abused Wankhede pitch curator Sudhir Naik for preparing so called batting friendly pitch

last year against South Africa, on which SA piled a mammoth total.

Now that Nagpur pitch was made as per Shastri's instruction, will he take the onus

of the loss ?

How long are we going to make such non-sense &

childish excuses such as Pitch, Conditions,

Toss etc.?

It's inexplicable to understand what New Zealand can make out of the pitch, Indian think tank can not.

How can they select Nehra over Harbhajan on spinner's paradise ? Then Why have we selected Harbhajan for, if we are not going to play him on such a turning track?

You exercise entire control, so excuses for Pitch conditions are not valid for hosts! Put it simple - Indians are no longer good against spinners on a turning track.

They are no longer good against spinners on turning track.

They have never been good traditionally against fast & bouncy tracks. ( South Africa, New Zealand )

They have never been good traditionally against swing & seaming tracks ( England )

Then what are they good at ?

Only FLAT, DEAD & PATA TRACKS ?

That also doesn't hold true, as, Wankhede pitch last year was a good example. South Africa scored 438 runs on that FLAT track.

In short, no pitch is safe nowadays for Indians, so it's better if they stop relying on pitches & start to adapt on them rather than giving silly excuses.

Opposition teams are no longer alien to Indian pitches & conditions, thanks to IPL & deep study & homework of cricket.

So, this age old theory of spinning & turning tracks is obsolete nowadays.
