Why India Lost
by SRINIVASAN VENKATES on Mar 16, 2016 10:53 AM

Just over confidence & under estimated the New Zealand team. Actually there is no pure spin bowling by New Zealanders, Indians just throw their wicket away. Anyhow this is a wake up call. Play seriously in coming matches. You cannot win all the matches continuously. Indians will bounce back. NZ can beat Australia & Pakistan. Again India & NZ will be in the finals.

We are not great batsmen of SPIN BOWLING.

We are not great batsmen of GENUINE FAST BOWLING.

We are not great batsmen of SHORT BOWLING.

We are not great batsmen of SWING BOWLING.

HOW MANY MORE EXCUSES ARE WE GOING TO GIVE ?

AND STILL WE WANT TO BE WORLD CHAMPIONS ?

why team India lost
by Venugopalan on Mar 16, 2016 10:46 AM

because team India has no plans..they were simply sleep walking throughout...only Kohli, Dhoni and Ashwin showed some grit..the rest went for rash shorts and got out...

WHAT A SHAME - - -

Never saw Team India losing so badly to a team .

126 was not at all a big score even on a spinning wicket but lack of planning & adaptability to a turning pitch cost us the match .

ITS MORE OF OUR POOR BATTING RATHER THAN GOOD BOWLING BY NZ COST US THE GAME .
ARE THESE NATHAN MC-CULLUM , SODHI , SANTNER WORLD CLASS SPINNERS , NO - -
They are ordinary bowlers , still we gave them silly wickets .

But , NO PROBLEM . Team India is well known for bouncing back strongly & will surely take a lesson & from this defeat & comeback strongly .

No you are a world class spinner. If Jadeja is labelled as a top spinner, then Santaner,McCullum,& Sodhi too are genuine spinners.

Dedication and staying at the wicket missing
by Ram on Mar 16, 2016 10:33 AM  | Hide replies

Casual approach from Indians. All that seriousness, hunger to win etc.. that they displayed during Asia cup was missing. Over confidence that NZ spinners are not good enough to take their wickets.

Nothing to take away from New Zealand. They stuck to basics and won.

I strongly feel that this kick on the rear is required for India to bring them back to ground.

Poor performance
by naveen fernandes on Mar 16, 2016 10:14 AM

Never accept the casual approach of the team , no strategy, plan and team work. Overconfidence, ego, no teamwork, money and unwanted distractions cost this Indian team the match. They should now realize and work hard to at least win on Pakistan, otherwise high flying team members will fall to their doom.

Media write as per their wish and wim, but it is responsibility of each team member to plan as per their potential and perform. Winning & Losing is part of the game, but loosing without giving a flight, shameless, pay should be cut based on performance and they should be restricted in advertisements, then they will perform. Many able crickets are waiting in queque to take over, so perform or perish should be the mantra

Tasted its own medicine

Yesterday's pitch reminded me the pitch used in 1996 semi final match against Kolkata.
Dear BCCI, please note our batters are not great players of spin anymore.

it is arrogance of the spoilt brats... we can win matches only by fixing with teams like bangaladesh, pakistan...
nz etc are countries known for their honesty, integrity and pride for the nation...
