Are you zealous of Ganguly? You always criticise him without any provocation? As a commentator you never ever praised him. You are frustated because you are not selected as a coach. Are you better than Patil? Ganguly did not respect you since he was absent in the meeting but Tendulkar, Laksman did not select you because they felt you are not better than Anil Kumble. You don't have any guts to speak against Tendulkar, you know you will kcked out from MCA.

What have you done in your tenure as a coach apart from making dust bowls and help India win a series against SA and minnow Srilanka? We even lost to Bangladesh !! India were thrashed in two World cup semi finals. Please get back to your commentary work
Shastri is definitely a pillar of Indian cricket .
He build the team after Duncan Flecther left & when there was a void in the team due to retirement of Laxman , Sachin & Dravid .
His contribution to Indian cricket as a player & coach is immense , fool are those who are bashing Shastri . Because of him first time Team India won some major event in AUS ie Benson & Hughes cup in 1985 .
Its was under his coaching India reached in semis finals of WC in AUS & WC 20-20 in India . There may be few failures but its a part of the game .
We white washed AUS Three-Nil in AUS .
Did any coach ever achieved such clean sweep in AUS before ??
Only may be Gary Kristen's tenure was more successful than Shastri's .
And how do people know he's a drunkard ??
Do they party with Shastri daily ?? He may be a teetotaler .

Yes Shilpa. Shastri did so well during his tenure as a coach. We have beaten Aus/SA/ENG/NZ 4-0 each in test matches in their backyard. We won two world cups under him.. Only some fools do not understand your love for him..

100% rightly said Muhammed. Like it or not, the 3 guys were supposed to select the coach. It is their opinions that matter.
Was it not a committee decision, why only singled out Ganguly. Moreover the way Shastri is claiming his success as team director as if he did wonders, which otherwise never achieved by Indian team. How can we forgot india's ODI series loss to Bangladesh for the first time, ODI loss in home ground against SA, test & ODI loss against Australia. These certainly not speak volume about Shastri's self proclaimed success.
