This is completely absurd. Even if dada had voted against Shastri other two could have selected him in 2:1 ratio, right? So it is clear that even Sachin and Laxman did not want Shastri. SO Shastri should understand this simple logic and get back to his old commentary work
I dont know whether the selection of Kumble over Shastri was objective because on the face of it there isn't sufficient data to prove that. However calling names and saying one is X's favorite and other is Y's favorite is very typical of Indians.
