with the same hope that kumble is not made into modibhakth and hence the top job.......
Although Ravi Shastri is a better communicator than Kumble but he overdoes it at times.That way Kumble is more balanced and a trier to the end fighting to the last never giving up.He certainly looks more disciplined compared to Shastri and should be a no-nonsense coach.His man management skill remains to be tested although Ravi Shastri has proved himself on this front.We wish Kumble all the best.
Its a joke. He was no good batsman himself. Can he remove the flaws from our batsment & correct their mistakes? The selection committee itself was hopeless. India needs an expert batting coach & another expert fast bowling coach. Afterall, a guruji must have more knowledge than his pupils. But Anil Kumble will laugh all the way to the bank.

at that level one rarely needs batting guidance, it is more of mental; approach and match-to-match strategies...moreover the coach has to be respected..

@Kersie Madon:: Anil Kumble will be managing team India. He is not supposed to be the batting coach. At this level cricketers don't need a batting coach

Guru, pl read yr comment at 5.20 pm which you have contradicted at 6.28 pm. Every team has a coach. BCCI advertisemet was for a coach & not a manager. A coach must be more knowledgable than the pupils. He must be able to quickly understand the flaws that creap in to batsman's batting & correct it. In yr 5.28 pm comment you have mentioned that Kumble will be able to guide our spinners. Is that all? Or should he be able to keep an eye on batsmen & give them expert guidence. All teams have coach; be it cricket or football or tennis.
