quite interesting,in rediff both AK and RJS share equal percentage of votes and in cricinfo, 44 percentage of votes for AK and only 22 percentage votes for RJS.

How can you be so blind. Have you watched him play - he only plays for himself but he acts as if he is good. How can we forget what he did to Ganguly to become captain by joining with greg chappal, but gave up after he found that captaincy has responsibilities!
It would have been better had Rahul Dravid applied for the elite post. To me, he would have been the better choice. The reason for the same is, he is currently coaching the IPL team as well as India A & Under 19. He has been India's best batsman in Test Cricket. Sachin Tendulkar & VVS Laxman are the only player of his caliber...
Despite all this natak, it is obvious BCCI will go for the proven pet doggie in Shastri. No prizes for guessing that. Nothing that BCCI does comes as a surprise anymore. The mask might change but the face remains the same.

Absolutely.And to think of it RS was just a sidey in the team most of the time when he played, no natural talent.
