Why was Krishna Das from Assam not selected inspite of a stellar showing in the Ranji trophy ? How come Sran was chosen inspite of paying on 9 matches. The result is there for all to see. Sran, like all other Indian bowlers, was carted all over the ground by the Australian batsmen. This is what happens when you sacrifice merit to nepotism in selection.
No actual cricket lover requires high scoring games, but good decent cricket. Nice swing both in and out and to see when mark waugh out to Srinadh when he is well left way back in Australia and the crunching strokes by VVS Lakshman, Rahul Dravid, Sachin against Australia in Sydney, Adelaide etc,. But not this type of bowling & batting, which is just played like rubber ball in gully cricket.
