Yes. I agree that India did play well. They were little unlucky in not winning the 3rd and 4th ODI. I am surprised that we are complaining that our bowlers are week. The same should go for Australian bowlers who have been belted for 300 or nearby runs in all the innings. Well done team india

I hope we continue the same way in T20s and T20 World Cup to keep you happy. Whilst some other teams with their "poor show" continue winning the games.

WEAK BOWLING MAIN CULPRIT - NOTHING ELSE
by Shilpa Mehta on Jan 22, 2016 10:33 AM  | Hide replies

Hussey is incorrect by saying Indians played good cricket .

Only Indian batsman played good cricket as they posted 300 plus score everytime that too on AUS wickets which is not at all a bad display .

Our Bowlers performed badly as they could not defend 300 thrice .

Batsman cannot score 400 to compensate weak bowling .

Fielding also was good ,if not excellent .

That is why Individual Players are improving their Winless Personal statistics match after match.

ICC Number 1 Rank Bowler is Taking Cartloads of wickets.

Australia also have improved their Records for Setting Record Totals & Defending over 300 scores.

Indian Team is Just Touring Australia - Like on a Picnic Tour and their performance is reflected by the 0-4 scoreline, which is soon to become 0-5 on 23rd Jan 2016.

Bad tactics and poor bowling
by Mike Teflon on Jan 21, 2016 11:06 PM

Batsmen have done well, but Dhoni faltered in on-field decisions like bowling changes, not employing enough slips and not attacking enough. Of course, the bowling is very bad.

Removing Jadeja amidst a good spell in 3rd ODI was a case in point of bad captaincy.

Aiming IPL proceeds. How has BCCI India played abroad (or for that matter in India) under "normal cricket conditions"?
It is all f ix e D. Worst case scenario - India will at least reach Finals (rest is left to the bookies)

India must play Aswin instead of gurukeert mann, B Saran should replace bhuvi and Manish Pandey instead of Rahane, as he is injured

Internal politics at its height in Indian Dressing room
by GS on Jan 21, 2016 09:40 PM  | Hide replies

It is obvious that the power struggle between Dhoni and Shastri has reached its peak. In fact they don't even deny it any more, each is making statements in the media which is completely tangential to the other. India will never get back to winning ways in ODIs / T20s until one of them goes. Dhoni will never play as an individual contributor, his message to the selectors is if you want to remove me as captain, you have to remove me as player. In Tests, Shastri won last year and Dhoni was out, this is because the test team doesn't revolve around Dhoni and it was easy to move on. In ODI and T20, he is the best finisher for India and the last ODI game against Aus, showed, he is the only finisher for India - clearly establishing his indispensability ( sometimes a duck can work wonders). The way the team batted showed they are probably behind the captain in ensuring his survival. I think it is probably best to split the coaching as well into test coach and ODI/T20 coach in order for India to get back into winning ways.

The news hit the media that a new coach might be chosen which means Shastri might go. Kohli needs to rely on players to win a test match ( not sure he can score all the runs), players who are playing ODI / T20 and whose career is in Dhoni's hands. Look what is happening to Yuvraj and now Ashwin. He might want Dhoni's job but he also knows he needs to wait it out now. We can speculate a lot but the bottomline is unless BCCI clears up this mess and sends a strong message that the system and more importantly INDIA is greater than an individual, all the players will reflect and follow their leader. This is what Gavaskar meant when he said harsh changes are needed. He is not openly saying it that's all.
