We need Dhoni the slogger back
by roshan agrawala on Jan 16, 2016 01:00 AM

I miss that old Dhoni man, who used to slog, hit boundaries from the word go. This Dhoni is playing too cautiously most of the time. Not sure what he is scared of, even when we have gr8 runs on board by first 4 guys most of the time. We don't have a hard hitting batsman in the middle order anymore. I am surprised by Dhoni's attitude now a days. He is relying on his top 4 to score runs in slog overs. Why do we have others in team then ?
And why do we have this Jadeja playing in every single match guys. He has rarely shown his batting skills. Are we playing on that Nagpur turner ? why do we have 2 spinners in Perth/Brisbane ? where are part-timers? Looks like Dhoni always wants Jadeja in team for no reason, whether its tests, odis or t20. If Dhoni is captain, jadeja will play.
I don't believe the same Ashwin and Jadeja were bowling like monsters just a month ago. And now they are taken for hits by almost every Australian batsman.

Sastry Learn from Defeats
by ananda char on Jan 15, 2016 06:20 PM  | Hide replies

Our great director Sastri should understand the world cricket and act accordingly . When SA came to India we have prepared or Director made the grounds man to prepare for spin. But what is happening in Australia our spinners and pace man have become useless ,struggling and they have lost 2 matches already and they may loose all the matches with this type of attack. Indians can win now only in India. We don't have any match winning bowler. Ravi should learn from Australia how they are planning their Match.

Rohit played again !!! India bound to lose that match ...proof...
by Bhavik on Jan 15, 2016 06:10 PM  | Hide replies

Three days back I commented. Rohit's any big innings is unlucky for India. Most of the time we lose if he is top scorer. Today was not different. He may go on to make a record for most loses with top scoring for the side.

Good point. India could have defended a 180 total much better. You are absolutely right.

Not easy

Beating Australia on their home ground is very difficult for any team not only India. We need deadly fast bowlers, fiery batsmen and a few foulmouthed players to beat them.

Another expected defeat.

The way Aussies are playing, I won't be surprised if India loses all 5 ODIs. Aussies have fire in their belly to win. Even if we score 350 runs, Aussies will win bec better side always wins. Our bowlers are letting us down & not all batsmen are scoring at brisk pace. If we prepare dead pitches in India, then we are bound to lose overseas. But BCCI is only concerned with the cash flow & not win matches. To play spinners in Australia is a big mistake.

India should drop Rohit Sharma in case you need India win , every time he scores a century India loses.

Well said. Defending a 180 score would have been so much easier.

Dhoni, please spare us
by Abhijit Ghosh on Jan 15, 2016 05:20 PM

Mr.Dhoni, you have done enough for Indian Cricket Team, now it is the time to go. First of all you do not fit the post of captaincy in Indian Cricket, secondly your batting form is very poor, by virtue of your captaincy you are promoting yourself and India is missing 20-30 runs everyday and last and not the least you are failing to motivate team and your lacklustre captaincy is bringing defeat from jaw of victory. After all this is a team sports and no scope of unwilling and uncompetitive Indian captain.
