MSD'S ABSENCE
by Shilpa Mehta on Feb 24, 2016 11:25 AM  | Hide replies

It will be big blow if MSD is not playing .

But since the first match is against minnows Bangladesh MSD's absence will not matter much . Team is as such strong even without Dhoni .

But I don't think Parthiv Patel is right replacement for MSD .

It should have been Dinesh Kartik OR Robin Uttappa

Bangladesh cannot beat even India B team .

Last win by Bangladesh was a FLUKE & will not be repeated .

Parthiv Patel is very ordinary wicket keeper & average batsma
by Hindustani on Feb 23, 2016 11:43 PM

Parthiv Patel's wicket keeping is below

average.

He had missed simple caught & bold, simple

stumping's, dropped dollies, missed crucial

run-out chances & his batting is pretty

ordinary, he can't go beyond 30-40 runs with

one or two flashy shots here & there.

The ideal choices for replacement for Dhoni

should be :-

1) Sanju Samson

2) Naman Ojha

3) Robin Uthappa

4) Saha

A WICKET KEEPERS FIRST JOB IS TO DO WICKET

KEEPING ACCURATELY & THEN BATTING.

PATEL'S WICKET KEEPING LACKS BOTH.

Why don't you consider Robin Utthapa who has been in a terrific form in 20/20 format. he is not considered because he is not from the Western state and he is not a Hindu. you and your politics shame on you selectors.

Where hinduism has come into the equation?

How many chances did Stuart Binny get? Didn't he let down the whole side?

How these myopic perspectives emerge all the time????

@ Chandra sekar

You forgot the biggest match-fixer Azharuddin, who played the Moslem Minority card when caught red-handed.

By the way Uthappa is a good bet any day over Parthiv patel.

Parthiv Patel's wicket keeping is terrible and also he is just an ordinary batsman with the ability to score one or two flashy shots here & there & score 20-30 odd runs.

Naman Ojha or Sanju Samson are another good choices over Patel.
