I'M NOT AT A FAN OF MSD OR ANY PARTICULAR PLAYER .

Some people & media seems to be real FOOLS .

MSD is there in the team or continuing as captain NOT because of his PAST glory or achievements , but because lot of good cricket still left in him .

He can easily continue upto WC 19 may be he'll be 37-38 then .

See , NO PLAYER IN THE HISTORY OF CRICKET PERFORMS IN 100 PERCENT INNINGS HE PLAYS . UP & DOWNS ARE PART OF THE GAME .

Even greats like Sachin , Dravid , Ponting , Lara , Warne , Richards , Gavaskar , Kallis Waugh brothers also had rough phase , that does not mean they quit or were dropped .

And moreover MSD's individual performance is not at all bad even if team lost the series . Just last year we reached semifinals of WC & that too in AUS which itself is not a small achievement . Many times it was our bowlers who let us down as Team India's bowling is bit weak since last few years than our batting .

What can Dhoni do for that . Should he remove is gloves & start bowling ??

Now see , MSD can lead us to Asia cup victory & WC T20 win& at least reach finals .
Who knows ??

Currently ,we do not have better WK Batsman than MSD sitting on bench . Remember this aspect well - - -

Idiot Budiya, it is the same media which hailed his fluke decisions as strategies and out of the box thinking when the gamble paid off. And what did you say, you are not a fan of MSD? Even his dogs will hate you for this lie.

Don't include Australian players in your list. All the Australian players which you have mentioned were either retired gracefully, or indirectly being told to get retire by dropping them from the squad by the selection committee.
Gavaskar's retirement was also came as a shock to many people, as, he could have easily played in many more games if he would have liked, but he chose to retire gracefully. He always say that, It's always nice to hear from the people when they ask you "Why did you retire?" rather than " When are you going to retire?"

Brendon Maccullam, who retired from international cricket was a CLASSIC CASE of how to retire WITH GRACE & RESPECT, almost every commentator including Kiwis & Aussies were asking " Why is he retiring? He had so much cricket left in him, when he could score 140 runs in half the amount of bowls against Australia in test match?"

If Dhoni is giving a consistent performance with the bat then there is no problem, but if he is there in team just because he is DHONI THE GREAT then it's not good from Indian perspective.

If Dhoni is not performing with the bat then he should retire
by Hindustani on Feb 22, 2016 11:52 AM

In India whenever any star cricketer is being asked about his retirement, his fans gets aggressive & try to shut their mouth by praising about his PAST achievements, PAST glory & how successful he was as a player etc.

We Indians have this habit of living in Nostalgia & Glorious Past & never live in PRESENT.

What is Dhoni's PRESENT achievement ?
What is his contribution with the BAT IN RECENT MATCHES ?

CONSISTENT PERFORMANCE should be the only criteria for a place in the side & not the PAST GLORY.

Each & Every Cricketer Must & should Retire irrespective of his Talent, Records, Stature, Influence or any other Strong points.

Dhobi will Retire after India Lose the 2019 World Cup in England, until then he will play regardless of whether India Win or Lose tournaments at home or abroad.
