India should select new team
by bhaskar on Dec 24, 2016 10:21 AM

As this team will have to play IPL and they cannot be made to tour atleast for three months post IPL.
The current team has tirelessly worked through all these past eight months or so.

Australia wins by cheating
by naveen on Dec 22, 2016 09:48 PM

Australia wins by cheating in Australia with the help of umpires. If they had not cheated, they would have lost many matches in Australia

WHAT A SHAME - - ( LEARN TO PLAY SPIN PROPERLY FIRST )
by Shilpa Mehta on Dec 21, 2016 11:12 AM  | Hide replies

Team India humiliated ENG so badly that now do not have any means to show their faces back home .

The margin of defeats were massive . ENG batsman could not last more than 30-40 overs OR 3-4 hours of play on many occasions in spite winning or losing the toss .

Even Team India does not lose so badly on ENG / AUS / SA / NZ pitches . They at least offer some fightback .

All these teams AUS / ENG/ SA / NZ can win only on their own grounds .

In fact , it was Team India who recently WHITEWASHED AUSTRALIA IN AUSTRALIA
( Let it be in any format of the game , cricket is of course cricket )

Can any of these above countries even think of WHITEWASHING INDIA IN INDIA in any format , in a series ?? NO NEVER - -

May be they have won few series in India in history of the game by FLUKE , but it was not clean sweep .

( A series is minimum of three matches & not just 1 or 2 )

Shilpa Madam please chk your facts correctly regarding our performance in A# India have lost six successive Tests against Australia in Australia - all four in the 2011-12 series and the first two in the 2014 rubber. So we are no better then the others
Even in the One day series South Africa beat us 3-1 in 2015.So before
Similarly we lost 4-0 in England in 2012

Some more facts on India's whitewash in Australia early this year in the One day series
India capitulated dramatically, losing the last nine wickets for 46 runs, to hand Australia a 25-run victory in the fourth ODI at Canberra despite outstanding centuries by Shikhar Dhawan (126) and Virat Kohli (106).

- Scorecard

Chasing a substantial 349 for their first victory in the series, the visitors looked set for it after Kohli and Dhawan guided them to 277 for the loss of one wicket.

However, a shocking batting collapse after Dhawan’s dismissal resulted in India snatching defeat from the jaws of what would have been a famous victory.

The visitors now trail 0-4 in the five-match ODI series.

I feel Indian Team is Just Good on Flat, Slow & Turning pitch
by himamshu on Dec 21, 2016 02:24 AM

This Indian Team Certainly cannot be Greater than The Australian Playing XI of the Steve Waugh Captaincy era.

The Aussies had then Won 16 Test Matches in a Row, without conceding a Draw in any Test playing conditions. They also beat India in Mumbai in 2001, after that India Won 2 Tests in Kolkata & Chennai - That was a Better Indian team I reckon, because they Stopped The Australian Juggernaut from Rolling further.

However Indian Team lost the Test Series (Border Gavaskar Trophy) in 2004 to Ricky Ponting's Australian XI - So India could still Not Win with "Home Advantage" !!

Mishandling pacer.
by ANIL SINGH on Dec 20, 2016 11:25 PM  | Hide replies

Never understood why all Indian captains are so miserly in providing slips to Indian pacers. Today Umesh yadav was given one slip (flying) and guinine edge went begging. Even outside India where other teams pack slip cordan, Indian most of the time have 2 catchers in slip.

Catching was pathetic. Dropping Ali again as well as Cook. They need to improve. Also why there was not full fledge attacking field set. There was only one possible result still many bat-pad fell in no-man land.

Previously Dhoni and now Kohli both treat Pacer as filler. Give them slip cordan. During captaincy of Gavaskar and Kapil there used to be three slips and gully. But now field is only set to save runs for pacer not to take wickets. Hardly we see caught at slip for fast bowlers. Aussie, English, SA, NZL most have caught at 2nd, 3rd and 4th slip. We hardly have 2nd slip. I remeber atleast 3 instance when Dhoni had put slip after nick had flown and chance went begging. Still remember how Aus was 29-4 and Dhoni had only 1 slip. Two catch went thru there and Aus ended up setting 292 target for India. Need a tht.

Kohli is a better batsman compared to sachin. The youngster seems more committed and with fire in his belly.

I would like to see at the end of his career and then compare him with Sachin / Lara / Ponting / Sir Donald Bradman - I feel it is still early to judge him at Home conditions.
