Well said Rahul Dravid
by himamshu on Dec 05, 2016 01:35 AM

Yes Glenn Mc Grath (The Pigeon as he is nicknamed) was certainly a Superb Bowler - I also remember Rahul Dravid (The Great Wall of India) being Castled by Glenn Mc Grath in a Test Match in Bangalore - Rahul Dravid's Defence was Breached & his Middle Stump flew Out of the ground (in October 6th to 10th 2004 1st Test match which Australia Won by 217 runs).

NOTHING GREAT IN AUS TEAM
by Shilpa Mehta on Dec 03, 2016 12:40 PM  | Hide replies

McGrath may be good & accurate as said by Dravid .

But AUS team was & still is Home Tigers .

They cannot win outside their own pitches . And recently they are not even home Tigers . Team India whitewashed & SA defeated them on their own grounds .

Over all these years they have been winning by some unfair means like Sledgeing , wrong decisions by umpires etc & not on their merits .

Now just wait & see , next month AUS is coming to India to play test series , see how Teams India humiliates them here .

Shilpaji - Australia have Won 4 Test Series on Indian soil (Source - Wikipedia)

1) Australian cricket team in India in 1956–57 (3 Tests; Australia 2-0)

2) Australian cricket team in India in 1959–60 (5 Tests; Australia 2-1)

3) Australian cricket team in India in 1969–70 (5 Tests; Australia 3-1)

4) Australian cricket team in India in 2004 (3 Tests; Australia 2-1)

On Contrary Indian Cricket Team Has NEVER Beaten Australia in a Test Series on Australian soil, Nor South Africa on their home pitches.

Plus Aussies have a Very Strong Cricketing Culture, and their National Sport itself is Cricket and they are One of the Oldest Test Playing Nations alongside England !!

Madam, don't start suddenly comparing India with SA. SA defeated Aussies in test cricket. the closest Indian team got was in 2202, where under DADA team India leveled the Test series

Remembering the late swing of Mc Grath
by sanjoy mazumder on Dec 02, 2016 05:07 PM

Yes, it was correctly said and after a while some body really accepted the brilliant bowler whole heartedly. Still we can remember the world cup match which single handedly controlled by Mc Grath against India. In the very first spell he has taken Mighty tendulkar, Dravid and Md. Azharuddin and world cup hope of India was gone. It was the sharp let cut delivery of McGrath who finished India in some overs of the game. We hated him and feared him the most. He was really the dangerous man!!!!
