Even Legendary captain Imran Khan said same thing about Inzamam..Only thing he lacked was Selfishness as compared to SRT.

Shoaib is right

I couldn't agree more with Shoaib that Inzy was probably much better than others even with some so called greats. Being a Pakistani he never got his due. He has a Test triple against his name. Despite his bulk he outshone most though his running between the wickets was comical.

A Paki praising his Fellow Paki colleague.

Yes, Inzamam Ul Haq was indeed a Great Batsman, no doubts and Indians were wary of him as well.

Alongwith Inzy they also had Saeed Anwar, Ijaz Ahmed, Shahid Afridi, Aamir Sohail, Javed Miandad etc etc who were also terrifying the Indian Bowling attack during the 1990 to 2005 Cricketing seasons.

If Glenn Mc Grath, Courtney Walsh, Curtly Ambrose, Brett Lee, Allan Donald, Shaun Pollock or Shane Bond or any other Fast bowler had praised Inzy as Greater than Tendulkar, then I can somehow understand.

But I guess Shaoib Akhtar personally Hates Sachin Tendulkar and even in the past he has made Derogatory comments against Sachin saying that "He was afraid to face my bowling" and Sachin replied that "I don't want to make any comments and saying anything will be below my dignity" in reaction to Shoaib's jibes in the recent past.

No Comparison please..

If Inzamam played Akthar's bowling better than anybody else, doesn't indicate that he is the best batsman. You should look at the all round performance. No doubt about Inzamam's Capability and contribution as a batsman but he is not in Sachin's and lara's league.

How does he rate? They were largely on the same side so Shoaib could have bowled to him only during net practice and maybe some domestic leagues without the pressures of a charged international.Hardly away to rate a player.

If he had mentioned Sangakara or Jayavardene then I can understand. Inzy may be a talented batsman but he can not be compared to modern day greats like Sachin, Ponting, Lara, Kallis, Sangakara.

Inzzy can be compared to our own failed talented batsman Kambli, who was too lazy to tune up his talents, likewise Inzzy was too lazy to exercise and maintain a sportsman's physic.

What amazes me is that Shoaib Akhtar's comment came long after the players have retired and when the world has stopped beating their chest who was greatest. When every country has rated Sachin best batsman of his era including Brain Charles Lara and all greats rate Sachin "next-best batsman after Bradman" argument ends here, who was the best. A controversial bowler along with suspicious bowling action rating best is null and void. The media of our country is responsible for giving him the privilege or else the world would have forgotten him long back.
