Hefty Fine???? mere Rs 20K for Jadeja!!!
by Banibrata Saha on Aug 10, 2016 11:35 PM

Its irony that a mere INR 20,000/- for Jadeja is been coined as Hefty.
In India - we are not strict in implementing rules. This small amount will not even pinch Jadeja.

Yes its Risky Getting down and Facing / Showing Back to Gir Lions

The problem here is - Nobody can Predict the Behaviour of Wild animals. They can be Good at times, sometimes if they are Hungry or Angry they will also Ki11 Human beings if required.

Recently The Asiatic Lions were Reported to have come into Cities of Junagadh and a Lion also had Ki11ed a Human being.

It has also happened quite often Regularly in the past with All of The Big Cats - They have been known to Ki11 their own Fellow Animals & Partners and Young Offsprings of their own as well as those other Big cats in general.

Even Wildlife Experts, Conservationists, Zoo Staff, Wildlife Staff have also lost their Lives to Wild animals even when they were Protecting them.

Private Wild animal owners have also been ki11ed by their own pets.

So a 20,000 Rupees Fine is Very Less for a Cricketer like "Sir Ravindra Jadeja" - They could have Let him off with a Warning since he is a Celebrity - But if He or his Wife had been Mauled by an Asiatic Lion / Lioness - Then Gir National Park would have got Unnecessary Negative publicity.

Ridiculous Fine for just getting down from the Safari
by Pen diamond on Aug 10, 2016 01:48 PM  | Hide replies

20K too much fine for a common man to pay in case he gets down from a Safari
While the Safari might itself only be Rs 500, 20000 fine for getting down is ridiculous.

They have to set an example. If something had happened, everybody would be raising a hue and cry. Also, strict action should be taken against forest officials who r guilty.
