Of course he will be missed being one among better commentators although no one is indispensable. The way he was scratched out at the last minute clearly points to some serious differences with BCCI top guns. But dropping him or any regular and popular commentator w/o assigning any reason for that matter smacks of arbitrariness prevalent in BCCI which the SC wants to do away with. That is why SC keeps harping on proper criteria to be followed for decision involving appointments ,financial dealings etc. which will ensure accountability as otherwise it becomes a mutual beneficiary society as SC puts it.
Yes, I agree with most of the people who think dropping out Harsha is a right thing, not only him but there are some individuals in the commentating panel who either dont know what they are talking about or will talk in favor of a cricket player which he would like to see in indian cricket team. I like sidhu paaji, maybe he is not a great poet and a great comedian but I have never seen him favoring or talking non-sense about cricket.
What I strongly feel is cricket needs to come under RTI act for each and everyone in the country has an equal right to know, of whats cooking behind the scene.
Most of the listeners want that a cricket commentator must be a standard cricket player. We do not relish / encourage a non player to be a commentator.Harsha can act as a commentator in Bollywood films provided people are ready to pay and watch him.
He is a complete yes person of those who matters & rarely seen criticizing a whole bunch of non performing assets in our team.I am sure that it is something else than what is being discussed.
