Semi final match

Ashwin should have been tried for the last over. He was also expensive, but being an experienced and dependable bowler, he should have been tried and he may have tried his best. It was a mistake of Dhoni, and generally a hatred towards the South Indians in the cricket teams prevented him from being used.

nobody could have won that match in the last over with just 8 to get in 6 mails and two in form and dangerous batsmen on crease.. Dhoni did what he thought was the best thing to do then..

I am surprised you have criticised the no ball. But this no ball was pointed by the 3rd umpire and would have gone unnoticed if the catch was dropped. A bowler never bowls a no ball. And to your scoring of short runs please note that the slow period was when Kohli and Rahane were at the crease. You Mr. Gavaskar are a hypocrite and would not dare to criticise either of them as one is the best batsman in the world according to you 2 days before and the other is your statemate. Come on sunil grow up at the age of 64 atleast there is not much time left when you also will be sidelined in your criticisms.

Pl tell who sends down a noball if not the bowler? I agree no bowler sends down one on purpose. Among spinners of old, how many noballs can you count between Vinoo Mankad, Subhash Gupte, Bapu Nadkarni, Prasanna, Venkatraghavan and Chandrashekharover their entire carreer taken collectively?

Well said Ratnaka Mankad. Who looses a match, but the players who play the match. THEN THERE SHOULD BE NO HUE AND CRY.

We should remove the cricket players from team immediately eif they dont perform as we are representing INDIA a great country .I think players should play for winning we are not interested in records or world class shots.

Bowlers were the spoilsport

Bowling has been the weakest component of the team India. After Kapil dev, Chetan sharma, Srisanth all the recent bowlers are temporary and shortlived . It is high time we find out the real factor for this weak spot. Is it the biological, physical, dietary, monetary, geographical etc. In the coming days we should focuses on the means to improve this department.

foreign teams have neutralised our home advantage of spin and home conditions by playing in IPL.
BCCi should reduce the number of foreign players to just two to help develop home grown talent and to reduce the exposure of foreign playerss to our home pitches
