Suppressing the aggression by Ishant Sharma.

I do not think it wise to suppress your aggression when opponents are consistently staring at you as if you are nothing in front of them.Ishant Sharma did nothing wrong in that situation and in fact we should be happy that he fired and fired and the opponents melted away.

Well said Venkatesh Prasad.
by soumyen sarkar on Sep 06, 2015 12:37 PM

After reading the sheer nonsensical comments of B S Bedi, who tried to hog limelight by playing servile roles to white countries, I feel, what Venkatesh Prasad wrote or said is ideal statement from an Ex Senior Bowler who rendered help to the Indian team. B S Bedi used to stand like beggar at the English/Aussie nets whenever they came to tour India & pass on some information to harm own country (?)But Venky did all the hard work & he has a right to criticize the present bunch of Indian players. After reading the old man's comments, I thought Ishant did not play well at all , just grimaced all through the test series. But reality is, the jealous old man , seeing all doors shut on his face in the cricket establishment, is now trying to let others know of his existence by such dirty comments. He forgot he moved like a snail on field & in his fittest condition, needed a runner to complete a run & caused so many run outs to help the opponents. The same old man is now talking about behavior. Does he know anything about today's competitive cricket? He should bow down on knees before Ishant & Venkatesh Prasad and learn few things about patriotism first, then about quick bowling . Venkatesh Prasad, all through your career, you were a great trier, and especially in Pakistan matches you were a role model. I loved your comments. Yes, Ishant should be calmed down but such advice should come from player like Srinath and you etc. You people did everything in your pl

Prasad's advice?
by Hindustani on Sep 05, 2015 10:11 AM  | Hide replies

Prasad giving advice to Ishant? He was being treated as a spinner by players like Jayasurya , Afridi and almost all strike batsman's at that time, they used to score 16-20 runs in his over and he also used to bowl the same line and length despite clobbered away badly.
Now that same Prasad is giving advice about temperament, role model etc.,

Venkatesh Prasad is little ahead of you in his rights to say something about Indian team and its performance. Duncan Fletcher or John Buchanon were no players at all but they coached the English and Aussie side respectively. so, Venky is much ahead .

Prasad's advice to Ishant
by srirama chandra rao on Sep 04, 2015 05:19 PM  | Hide replies

Prasad has truly put his ideas across. Ishant should follow Prasad's advice in letter and spirit both in terms of skill and also attitude. Hope Ishant draws lessons from his aggressive behaviour which results in one test ban. Let him act as bowler who can spearhead the bowling attack of pacers
