Too much emphasis is on media/match referees/and above all the foolish public, the game has become more scientific. gone are the days of sportsmanship and the real gentlemen game cricket has totally changed. better get rid of the game

Cricket is one unpredictable game where the weather, the crowds the pitch the moods of players etc play a role in making the game interesting, in test matches
Changes in rules have to be done with caution

Why not give the visitors a chance to drop players from the home team? :)

banning toss in test cricket

Test cricket per say is losing its identity. Change is the only thing which is constant.
a simple formula starting from first test match in a test series, the decision should be to the visiting team and next match to the host team and so on. Alternating the decision between visiting and host team.

Not sure its a great idea

it sounds good at first but what this will do is force the home country to create dead pitches, since creating a pitch with any life will straight away give advantage to the away team who get to choose to to bowl first on seamer friendly wickets and bat first on spin friendly wickets.

Besides it adds extra level of interest because each team has to adapt to different conditions everywhere making the game more interesting.

Why only Australians are backing it ???
by RSS on Sep 03, 2015 05:08 PM

Just because they lost The Ashes 3-2 to England because they lost some crucial tosses and were put to bat first.

Australia's Batting was exposed to English Swing bowlers and they were reduced to losers as soon as they lost the toss.
