On the one hand the PCB chief says 'Pakistan can survive without playing India' on the other he keeps pestering BCCI for resumption of Ind-pak cricket.Mr Anurag Thakur has made it amply clear that in the prevailing 'climate' that is not feasible and I only hope Modi govt. stays firm not buckling under american pressure.Instead India must play B'desh a very exciting one day side that can beat any international side on a day.India also has the responsibility to help the subcontinental underdog come up and improve their Test strength too.Either in Dec or as per B'desh window available India should host the B'desh side for a long tour of 2 Tests, 7 One dayers and 2-T20 matches at home.In fact India must play B'desh regularly every yr.
Pakistan has been exporting terror on some pretext or other. If our poor cricketers go to Pakistan they will become sitting ducks for the Paistan's ISI and terrorists. There is no need for cricket diplomacy with Pakistan. Let them live in their own world
There is no question of resuming Ind-Pak cricket in the prevailing border tensions and terror mischief's of Pak against India. As Pak attributes links these terror activities to Pak's 'unfinished agenda' of Kashmir, it is only proper that Pakistan first resolves the K issue with India first so that there are no excuses for terror.Only after all the issues are resolved and friendship prevail Ind-pak cricket can resume.India in fact should play with B'desh more often which is as good a side as Pakistan now,may be every yr to bring them up to make them a world beating side.B'desh is the only subcontinental side not to have won the WC and so India must play them regularly to help them win the next WC.
If i were BCCI then I would make an offer to Pakistan play India in Srinagar KASHMIR under Indian Flag and give away the awards from the hands of Elected chief minister of Kashmir. That should send them a strong message.
