Although Bedi is not 100% right in his assessment about performances of Indians and SLans but he is right in stressing the need for grooming youngsters instead of banking on over aged players like Bhajji,Binny and Mishra .Bhuvi should have got a chance and a young leg-spinner like Yazuvendra Chahal should have made it to the squad.Selectors can even try some young all-rounders who have done well in domestic circuit and IPL for the home SA series.This is not to suggest that Mishra who did well in SL should be dropped for the SA series but that parallelly try youngsters too towards grooming them under Kohli, an idea captain for grooming youngsters.
Of course Mr. Bedi - We all know All of Northies Love to Hate South Indians - In particular Tamilians - Ashwin more particular because he is an Upper caste, I can understand your anger and frustration.
But we never discriminated as South Indians while praising Kapil Dev or Sunil Gavaskar or Sachin Tendulkar or Sourav Ganguly or even Harbhajan Singh when he was bowling well.
He should learn to behave as a respectable elder first and a Gentleman former cricketer next.
Mr. Bedi, U c only one good knock from Lankans. U didnt c the knock from Chandimal in the first test which was a match changing knock. That was not only a fighting knock but the pace at which he scored runs is what unsettled India. And u dont c Ishant as a wicket taking bowler, then Sir plz tell me who is? I am not saying Ishant in the past. I am saying about the Ishant we saw in Lanka.

Maybe I had to clearly draw a demarcation between the first and second sentence. I wanted to say that the people I quoted can certainly be youngsters when Dhoni himself can be a youngster. Sorry for confusing people.

people said dhoni had a team of youngsters when he visited sa nz etc...but i dont think anybody considered/considers dhoni as a youngster
no.... ashwin mishra binny rahane vijay dhawan ishant et al are seasoned veterans...on the verge of retirement...soon new generation players will come in the team...

Stating Aswin, Rahane and Ishant as veterans and verge of retirement!. I think all the three are in mid 20s.
