mr bedi\'s comments were uncalled for,i know bedi was one of the best left arm spinner of this time but how many series have he won outside india and to say srilanka was a weak side didn\'t he know that even India is a young side.now we have won a series in lanka after 22 years says it all that not even the likes of sachin savrov shewag and dravid with help of kumble Zahir and bajji could do it.Isn\'t that an achievement.

Ishant Sharma has malign the image of India. Nothing but Showoff.
by Avinash Varankar on Sep 02, 2015 09:17 PM

Mr Gavaskar and Mr Bedi rightly criticized this fellow. This incident will going to dent the image of our country. People started hating these arrogant fellows like ishant sharma. He is behaving in such a manner as if he has done something extraordinary in the past. We all know what horrible bowler he is? After getting so many opportunities in the past he failed to cement his place in the Indian team. This Shrilankan team is little weak because most of their senior players retired. Nothing great taking wickets against them. I really donot understand why Mr Ravi Shastri not advising this fellow and why the BCCI not taking action against this fellow. If they take a lenient approach against him , the situation will go out of hand and the time is not far when all the cricket playing nations will start hating the Indian team

It was crazy to see Ishant banging his head with his hands after getting Chandimal's wicket. His behaviour would have qualified him to get admitted to a mental asylum.

What was the need ? Was India playing a sledging team like Australia, when a lot of verbals were exchanged late last year ?

And let's not forget that this was not an earth shattering win. This is a Sri Lankan side lacking in talent and as Bedi has said, India should have won 3 - 0, instead of grafting out a hard earned win.

Ever angry Virat will be a flop captain
by Prabhakar Agrawal on Sep 02, 2015 08:32 PM

Till now we had been talking of Mr Cool as captain and Dhoni has been a role model for many years. Virat' aggressive behaviour has been publicized unnecessarily as he will fail as a leader. He took an easy catch, then with angry face kicked the ball, this behaviour must be condemned. He has won this series when all the great players in Lanka team have retired, Its not a historic achievement-he should remember. He will have to win world 20-20 and one day tournaments and also become No 1 in test cricket before he comes anywhere near Dhoni, people have foolishly started declaring him better than Dhoni.-Prabhakar Agrawal

Very well said by Bishen Singh Bedi.

Very well said by Bishen Singh Bedi. Aggression should be shown in consistent correct action , and not in verbal spats.

I hope India does not go the Australian way of sledging culture, and create its own identity of the virile cricketer-sportsman who is a gentleman as well.

Like the other bowlers Ishant should take a wicket and celebrate with his team mates . He must not look at the batsman or gesture at him . Hope Virat and Shastri can somehow train him on this.

How can Virat teach Ishant good behaviour when his own ill temperament is under scrutiny. Prabhakar Agrawal

Kohli needs to control his team. Aggressive talk does not guarantee aggressive cricket.

No need to go overboard. What Ishant does is nothing compared to the indiscipline in the pakistani camp where players fight with each other, or the sledging culture of the aussies.

Ishant has shown some over-aggression, but he seems to be intelligent enough to discipline himself with the aid of teammates, and team psychologist.

Bedi is envious jealous and what not. If an Australian did what Ishant did, he would have praised. McGraath, Donald, Flemming were all like rogues but this old man always backed them. But when an Indian showed aggression, he was having heartburn. Whaqt this Bedi is saying is dirty anti-Indian campaign. Bedi should be punished
