as far as i know dhoni won away test series in new zealand, west indies and bangladesh...and he certainly was not playing 22 years ago...:)
Wait friends. Let's don't get too excited here. I know it's the first test series win after 22 years on foreign soil and Kohli and his team deserve all the accolade that they are getting. But it is just a starting our real test will be against S.A. in coming tour, they are way too strong and way too professional as a team than Lankans and man to man they have probably better players than us, so that will be the real test of our team. But having said that, apart from his exaggerated and sometimes outrageous behaviour, as a captain Kohli looked better than Dhoni in test matches. He marshalled his resources extremely well, his smart bowling changes, intelligent field placing and command on the teammates was remarkable. It's just that, he needs to be a little cool in his approach if he want to become successful in long run, because test cricket needs patience and he becomes impatient easily and that carries the risk of getting panic and lose the control. Otherwise overall performance was exceptional and almost everybody contributed in the match and series which is a rare scene with us.

Ishant sharma may have taken some good wickets but he should now learn how to behave on the field.
Here shows the difference, all winning pics of Dhoni are with the team and Kohli is individual. The series is well planned to put Kohli in Dhoni's seat and ofcourse the series looks pre planned.

Correct his aggressiveness was clearly visible on Indian bowlers... even Binny was looking decent bowler under him.
He has already has become better test captain than dhoni
Why Sri Lankan Capt. Mathews jumping in the air after scoring 100. He shouldn't have celebrated until the job is done i.e. either to save the match or to win the match. This jumping shows that he is bothered only about his score.

If your argument holds, no cricketers should celebrate the fall of wickets or any milestones reached in batting. They should celebrate only if their team wins the match and observe few minutes silence if they lose their match. What an absurd idea!
