KOHLI NOT MORE THAN 4/10. what did he do , useless fellow, batting was below average , did not take responsibility when team needed. even though srilanka lost but see the determination from Mathews. kholi is big zero. all credit should be given to ASHWIN and MISHRA.And never seen so bad captaincy in my life,

it is wrong to say that dhoni was defensive captain and played with only 4 bowlers always...

in fact in his last 15 tests as captain he played with 5 bowlers in 8 tests....

out of his last 11 away matches as captain he played with 5 bowlers in 4 tests...also when we whitewashed aus at home under his captaincy we played with 5 bowlers in all those 4 tests...even the 2015 odi wc which we played in aus and nz we played with 5 bowlers in all the matches...

in fact kohli did nothing new when he played with 5 bowlers...before him dhoni had done that many times...

Hi Sunil, it's been a long time since we greeted each other. So a big hello.

and yes I got a question as yet another ardent India fan. What do you say about the 8-0 whitewash?

If he was proactive, we could have at least avoided the whitewashes in both England and Australia. He was merely reactive and did not do enough to motivate his mates. So, what do you say?

dhoni again played abroad with new generation players without any experience of playing abroad when they started in SA...we came close to winning a test which ended in draw...then in nz again close to win but again draw...finally we won in england...later some close games in aus where too we missed winning chances...this time around without legends in sa nz eng aus no whitewash...what do you say about that?

Re: Re: Re: Re: hi

and finally dont call it 8-0 whitewash...it is actually 7-0 because the final test dhoni did not play either as a captain or as a player ...sehwag captained...what happened ...another huge loss...

now if you want to ask me what about 80 whitewash....my counter is winning against this sl team was not difficult but what about 2-0 loss to aus by captain kohli?

so you see if kohli won 2 tests against sl he also lost 2 tests in the previous series against aus in aus...

not forgetting the test loss in the sl too...

and as an aside, i will also point out about michale clarke ....dhoni in 30 away tests has 15 losses...dont forget out of those 30 he played 19 against eng aus sa...most tests against toughest oppositions possible...

and clarke supposedly like kohli aggressive, proactive taking risks to win etc...has 13 losses in 26 odd away tests that he captained...whitewashed in india. whitewashed in uae, hammered by england again and again....so you see such fate happens to supposedly aggressive proactive captains too...

also i would like to point it out to you that as a captain dhoni has 8 test wins against a strong team like aus...what do you say about that? how many indian captains can boast about such a record? forget indian captains how many other countries captains have won 8 tests against a strong team like aus?

A win is a win. Enjoy. But it also reaffirms the fact that its a team game. And captaincy is a concern area too, notwithstanding series win. Kohli has to get rid of his attitude, the arrogance and impulsiveness. his thinking is shallow and behaviour abrasive. Time to develop some humility and being grounded. in fact immaturity is visible on him from a long distance, even in the selection of words he uses when speaks to others.

You can design the statistics in so many probabilities. It is just a consolation. What matters is the result of the match.

After the super batting of Matthews and Perera, SL had a good chance to Draw the match. Unfortunately Dhammika Prasad instead of playing out the overs, went in for for heroics, which caused them the match.

This win is misleading and it appears like a huge win but Sangakkara , jayawardena and Dilshan have retired recently and Maillinga has taken retirement from test cricket
