Just excuses

Ravi Shastri must think about what will happen when we go abroad , on pitches like the Wankhede. Losing is OK but not losing by such a huge margin. If the pitch was flat, why didn't our guys score at least 325 plus ? Shastri is ignoring basic weaknesses in our team and diverting attention.

India's loss in fifth ODI

there can be frustration but it cannot cross limits.Indian bowlers have to be blamed for flow of runs. Even India at one point of time around 138 for 2 but suddenly wickets fell fast and there is no partnership. You cannot take the credit from Develliers for his superlative batting display

Ravi Sir,Doni Sir

Why you both are very much bothered about pitch.Have you heard any boxers bothered about boxing ring or hockey /foot ball players bothered about ground or any other sports persons insists on what they want before the match.it is equal to match fixing sir.Are you paid only to play the matches in the ground you wanted?did any agreement say like that???so pathetic.no wonder if people hate this game soon coz of your heroics..

Blame Game!

Not the performance but the pitch! It is like blaming PM Modi for telling the curator his job!

Its a shame

Whether you win or lose a game one has to be graceful on both. It is unfortunate that people of the calibre of Ravi Shastri & Sunil Gavaskar make such comments.

As Tejas pointed out, what would have happened if India were to bat first & score in excess of 350 runs? Naturally, they would have won the game & series with it. In that case, no one would have given credit to Sudhir Naik and they would have been talking about how Rahane played and how MSD snatched series from ABD and what a wonderful captain he is & so on!

Ravi Shastri should be better informed to know that Sudhir Naik played test cricket when Shastri had not purchased his first bat & became a pitch curator as TV was not in vogue!

Let’s not take credit out of South Africa’s Batting, Bowling and fielding and try to take some lessons out of this defeat and try and correct before it is too late.

As invariably happens, the team which won the toss and decided to bat first on a batting beauty won.

As we are asking MSD to step-down as a captain & player, so called experts should stop getting involved in cricket after some time.

Well played SA

We are becoming dogs who drop tails at their own backyards

A simple question to Shastri:-

If India would have won the toss and selected to bat, then would they be able to score the runs in the excess of 350, forget 430?

If the pitch was so pathetic, as Shastri is abusing, then how come a newcomer like Rabada took 4 wickets on this SAME PITCH? How come the newcomer like Abbott bowled so economically on the SAME PITCH? How come Steyn took 4 wickets on the SAME PITCH? If their inexperienced bowlers could bowl so well on foreign soil why WE COULD NOT?

So DHONI AND SHASTRI, STOP GIVING SUCH NON-SENSE AND SILLY EXCUSES EVERY TIME WHEN YOU LOSE LIKE PITCH, TOSS, HUMIDITY, EXPERIMENTS, TEAM IS NOT SETTLED ETC., ETC. WE ARE FADE UP OF THESE NOW. ONCE THE WORLD USED TO CALL INDIA AS LIONS IN THEIR BACKYARD AND DOGS WHO DROPS THEIR TAILS OUTSIDE INDIA, NOW WE ARE TURNING OUT TO BE DOGS WHO DROPS THEIR TAILS AT HOME AS WELL. SHAME ON DHONI THE WAY HE CAPTAIN THE SIDE, UNSETTLES THE BATTING ORDERS FREQUENTLY, SELECTS HIS CHAMCHAS RAINA AND MOHIT SHARMA, WEIRD BOWLING CHANGES, HIS OWN BATTING FAILURES AT THE DEATH, HIS AND SHASTRI'S EXCUSES, BCCI'S WEIRD TEAM SELCTION
EVERYTHING IS TOTALLY DISGUSTING, INEXPLICABLE AND MAKING INDIAN PEOPLE FEEL VERY ANGRY AND ASHAMED.

As Gavaskar said-"Our bowling was ordinary, their batting was superlative" I shall add up--Their bowling & fielding was excellent, our batting was pathetic. Some batsmen deserve to be thrown out forever...
