If u r resistant to changes, then sooner or later the opposition teams will easily figure u out.. if the selectors have picked a player like gurkeerat mann in their scheme of things, then that's not for the purpose of making him sit in the bench. U have to play him at least once come what may in a five match bilateral series. Had ganguly not pushed in yuvraj singh at number 4 position during the mini world cup against australia, we wouldnt have got such a brilliant player in limited overs cricket. AND dont go in to every match thinking u will have to always bowl 50 overs. Dhoni always enter into the field thinking who will bowl the 48th and 50th over. That thinking should be there at the back of ur mind. In the third one-dayer in which ashwin got injured, he had picked up a wicket in his very first over but dhoni immediately replaced him bcoz he thought that was the right time to get through the overs of non regular bowlers since a wicket has fallen. The result, the pressure was released and SA scored 269 runs batting out the full 50 overs and ended up winning the match by around 20 odd runs. Unless Dhoni get rid of his defensive approach and the lack of faith in the newcomers, the team will never improve. I recently saw an interview of anjinkya rahane and was shocked to hear that he had to warm up the benches for 17 test matches before being given a chance. Remember we were being blanked in the test matches abroad, while all of this were going on!!!
If the pitch was so bad then how Rabada, Steyn, and Abott were able to bowled so beautifully on the same pitch?
So stop making such non-sense excuses after humiliating defeat, just accept the fact that you were pathetic and brainless in terms of bowling, batting and fielding yesterday and South Africa was NO MATCH for you and beaten you comprehensively. It was looking like SA versus Kenya or UAE game the way Indian bowlers were taken to the cleaners by SA batsmen.
Sour grapes,we were outplayed in every deppts no use blaming the bowlers for the flat pitch if that was the case why were bundled out for 224,at least we could have made a fight for it.All targets are achievable and that has been proved by the S.A team which beat australia after they had made 435.So no use blaming anyone except yourself,the earlier you realise it the better you will be
Indian team was back to square one! toothless bowling. india as a cricket team was always good in batting, laged in hostile first bowlers, we have seen in my earlier days gavasker, solker like bowlers opening with the new ball it is in ganguly's time we got srinath, zahir,pathan,nehra,balaji at their peak and added to them were kumble and harbhajan!gone are those days hai!donot blame the pitch
very poor cricket played by team India shameful for all the players dhoni raina dhawan not played well in this series so take some rest BCCI dropped dhawan for some one day series so played in ranji thorpy matches and play with fresh mind I think raina and dhawan both played as a time pass players in this series not take interest played some serious cricket so dropped both the players and take chance new players like gurkeerat mann, sanju samson etc.
Its true that pitch was not good for chasers but same management would have forgotten to complain if they had batted first and posted a big total themselves.

BCCI & Dhoni shud stop giving nonsense excuses and admit gracefully that they cannot face quality opponents..Time has come BCCI take stern measures,terminate non-performers,reduce payments to these players,reward good performers,spend more money at junior level to groom budding talents,pick up players for national team on current form-not on past laurels...Above all raise level of domestic cricket and make our players practice on all type of pitches....Lastly-the players who are contracted with BCCI must not be allowed to do endorsements or modelling....
Very poor performance. As usual Dhawan again crumbled.He may not be an opener. It is first push that transfers morale and motivation. Dhoni has now no Helicopter Shot. Needs rethinking of reconstitution of Team to end up frastration to our expectations.
So BCCI and team India management is ack that they can win only by doctoring the pitch! What a shame. The pitch was same for both. Only class separated the two teams. India was totally outplayed. Even the two matches victory was possible because both Morkel and Dumminy were injured and not available. India was a batsman short and a quality bowler short!

Same can be said about Indian team as their strike bowler Ashwin was injured who would have most definitely caused problems for ABD
