MSD
by Guru RamRahimDsuza on Oct 27, 2015 04:36 PM

Was never interested in building a team and all his success came through the hard work of previous captains like Dada,Kumble. Zaheer,Yuvi,Bhajji were the main reason India won lots of matches during early days of Dhoni's captaincy. After their retirement Dhoni is clearly struggling as he never gave chances to young talents and spent time behind failures like Raina, jadeja,Mohit etc. Current pathetic status of Indian team is mainly because of Dhoni-Srinivasan combo's misdeed of past

NO NEED FOR MASSIVE CHANGES
by Shilpa Mehta on Oct 27, 2015 02:02 PM  | Hide replies

Current team is good & no need for big changes . Same team reached semis in WC & that too in AUS , where many good teams could not reach .

People were saying same thing ie to remove Dhawan before world cup as he was bit out of form , but after WC he emerged to be most successful Indian batsman & his critics could not hide their faces .

Raina / Rohit / Rahane all are good .

Even if Team India loses , MSD's personal performance is always good . Barring last ODI , he scored good in remaining four .

Absoutely ,no need to replace captain .

Thing is that , MSD does not get proper support from bowlers , specially pacers & that's the main reason why we lose . Is 438 a target to be chased ??

Yes , position no six/seven is a big concern . There we seriously miss an all rounder like Yuvraj or Ravindra Jadeja or a even a newcomer .

This Akshar Patel is not at all a batsman & must be removed immediately .

We truly lack wicket taking fast bowlers & are current bowlers being hammered badly .
Shami must be back soon .

Shilpa, blind fans can't see Dhoni's faults. He was never interested in building a team and all his success came through the hard work of previous captains like Dada,Kumble. Dhoni has become too predictable
by Rajan S on Oct 26, 2015 05:18 PM

Mr Dhoni, If u r resistant to changes, then sooner or later the opposition teams will easily figure u out.. if the selectors have picked a player like gurkeerat mann in their scheme of things, then that's not for the purpose of making him sit in the bench. U have to play him at least once come what may in a five match bilateral series. Had ganguly not pushed in yuvraj singh at number 4 position during the mini world cup against australia, we wouldnt have got such a brilliant player in limited overs cricket.
AND dont go in to every match thinking u will have to always bowl 50 overs in the match. Dhoni always enter into the field thinking who will bowl the 48th and 50th over. That thinking should be there in the back of ur mind. In the third one-dayer in which ashwin got injured, he had picked up a wicket in his very first over. Dhoni immediately replaced him thinking that, that was the right time to get through the overs of partimers since a wicket has fallen. The result, the pressure was released and SA scored 269 runs batting out the full 50 overs and ended up winning the match by around 20 odd runs. Unless Dhoni get rid of his defensive approach and the lack of faith in the newcomers, the team will never improve. I recently saw an interview of anjinkya rahane and was shocked to hear that he had to warm up the benches for 17 test matches before being was given a chance to play. Remember we were being blanked in test series abroad, while all of this were going on!!!!

MOHIT SHARMA, RAINA, DHAWAN SHOULD BE KICKED OUT.
by tejas on Oct 26, 2015 04:01 PM

It's time for Dhoni's darlings Mohit Sharma, Suresh Raina and Dhawan to show the door. We had enough of them. Dhawan looked like he was up for test match yesterday, the way he was leaving the bowls.

Dhoni had completely lost his touch as a batsman, he simply CAN NOT PLAY AGGRESSIVE SHOTS now, as a captain also he was complete failure, his unnecessary shuffling in batting orders, bizarre bowling changes and strange support for out of form players, everything was pathetic.

why suresh raina in the team with poor performance ..player like sanju Samson should get chance in home series so that our future team will be good as we can support our juniors at home condition.bowler kumar should be rested for home series..if our team need to get defeated by so big margin why not we try our new juniors i gues they will give better results then current team.

Change of captain must
by anand p on Oct 26, 2015 01:03 PM

It is not because we lost the series but it is my belief that Mr. Dhoni can retire now. Neither he is technically sound batsman nor a good wicket keeper. He is very poor in playing against pacers. Mr. Umesh Yadav's omission from the team was unwanted. We should have continued with him. Probably he must have given more runs but that is how a pacer has to be encouraged. See Mr. Broad of England, Mr. Yovaraj struck him for six sixers but they still continued with him. If we have to rebuild our team, omission of number of players are necessary i.e. Mr. Dhoni, Mr. Raina, Mr. Axer Patel, Mr. Rohit Sharma, etc., etc.

Batting failure
by anil sood on Oct 26, 2015 12:55 PM

It is not a defeat of purely on the basis of bad bowling but more due to horrible bating. SA bowlers also toiled when Rahane was batting but our batsman played some awkward shots and it is pity to see Raina taking his eyes off to bouncers-a total flop in the series. Kohli's technique is also faulty and the shot he played which got him our is horrific. Pitch neither has the movement nor the bounce but our batsman who were not in best of their batting form panicked and someplayers like Raina, Kohli and Dhawan should be rested. Look Kohli was dropped in earlier ODI and he went on to score 138. So where is the consistency on part of Kohli.
