He lost his place due to temper it seems and not bcoz of MSD..He is Stil a fine crickter better than Rohit and dhavans..But as it looks likely very difficult to come back now..

It seems that Gambhir is a thoroughly frustrated on not being selected to play for India an it is showing in his behaviour. Being a captain, he needs to set an example to his team mates.
Asking Gambhir to pay a fine or banning him for a couple of matches or the entire Ranji Trophy is not enough. He should be kicked out of Indian cricket in all forms and should never be allowed on a cricket ground or in public anymore. He should be done away with as garbage and since he has not done anything for Indian cricket to be proud of, he should be neglected by everyone across the country except his family members. He is a third-rate individual and would only harm Indian cricket.

Did you forger his 75 runs in World T20 final? Did you forget under pressure crucial match winning 98 runs in World cup final? Both tropies India won, Gauti was the real hero n hardworker but all credit to Dhobiii..dont forget all!!!
Gambhir has again proved that he is a street goonda. In the past during IPL matches it was known, but he also rcd the benefit of doubt , but this is too far. He thinks with his money background , he can pillor anyone. Good that such motormouths have been shown the door. Never let him come back into the national team AGAIN.
