Dhoni vs Others!
by Ramesh Kapoor on Oct 22, 2015 10:28 AM  | Hide replies

Eversince he became the Capt of the Indian team he destroyed the careers of many. Afraid of competition he ensured that Sehwag, Gambhir, Yuvraj among others did not play for the team. Dhoni praising Sehwag now is nothing short of swallowing a bitter pill.

Dear Pls check the records of these guys when they were dropped. They were given enormous opportunities when they were dropped. Even Ganguly, Kumble, Dravid were dropped too. Should not cook controversies and portray Dhoni like villain.

Viru entered the team without any back support that too when Tendulkar was in Peak they used to call him Tendulkar II in his early stage, he distinguished, his Triple century and double centuries in less period proves his mental stress. His last period was bit not so glamorous, he was well supported by Gautam Gambir, as his eyesight became bit poor, he was getting out quickly but still existed in Delhi team because of his experience and ability to play big shorts, he had some tough period when Dhoni said bad regarding his fielding ability, later went out of Team. Gates closed by Rohit for him and Shikar for Gautam.

SHEWAG

He was like Rajesh Khanna . The cricketer , who entertained, worshipped, taken as a role model. In his days , no comparison. Giving courage & entertaining spirit to those who pay for it . one of the founding fathers of indian cricket , to have made it world class.

Will miss Viru
by Saba Pathy on Oct 21, 2015 12:10 PM  | Hide replies

Indian fans will miss Viru.
He was demoralized in the last stages by our politicking friends like Dhoni. Now Dhoni is facing similar issues. What goes around comes around.

Viru is such a good guy; with better captain, he would have finished better. I feel sorry for him (last 2-3 years went bad for him)

Now a days, even T20/ODI looks boing. Likes of Viru are not in cricket. Too slow and not entertaining

He was a good player but certainly not a great player because anyone who is kept out of team for so long doesn't come in the category of 'great'
